$20 Off $100 on Most Items on eBay, 5-Hours Only [Not Gift Cards]

Update: Gift cards will work if you put other items into your cart (normally needs to be $20+ in these situations).

The Offer

Direct Link

  • Spend $100 or more on eBay and get $20 off with promo code: CMADNESS10
  • 5-hours only, from 2 PM to 7 PM Pacific Time

The offer is limited to once per Paypal account, but if you have two Paypal accounts (business and personal) you can do this deal twice.

The Fine Print

  • Minimum $100 order must be met
  • Won’t work on Coins & Paper Money, eBay Gift Cards, Motors, Business & Industrial, and Real Estate
  • Discount applies to the purchase price, excluding shipping, handling, and taxes
  • Coupon can be used once per PayPal account

Our Verdict

Usually we turn to gift cards when we have to purchase something fast, but this time it’s not working for me on gift cards. Although the terms indicate that it should work on third-party gift cards, it’s not working. Have to find something else. If anyone has good ideas let us know.

CMADNESS10 expired, but CMADNESS20 is working and basically the same offer. $80 in ebay GCs + $20 merch +possible shipping = $20 off. I was able to do both coupons.

“both coupons” meaning two separate checkouts with the different coupons.

Was able to purchase a Hyatt gift card for $100 and got $20 off the the other items in my cart (~$22 worth of stuff I needed). Barely made it by 10pm (EST) though.

I used it on my ebay accounts but now I’m thinking of using it on the wife’s. Anyone else use it across several ebay accounts in the past (with other coupon offers) without any issues/banhammer?

Great deal – thank you for posting, and for the individuals above for commenting.

Data Point:
Purchased $100 Ebay Gift Card, and razor blades that were around $18.99.
Entered promo code “CMADNESS10” and 18.99 was taken off the bill.
Paid for the Ebay gift card with various other smaller Ebay Gift cards.
Result was no out of pocket expense – and a free pack of razor blades.

Did you buy ebay gift card from PPDG? If so, didn’t you hit the limit of maximum of 4 cards in 8 days? Or Did you not buy the recently offered Best Buy gift cards offered by PPDG?

I believe the limit is only for discounted GCs. These are being bought at full value.

No. Gift cards can count toward the 100 minimum. But you can’t get discount by only purchasing gift cards. You have to have $20 other stuff to get the $20 off

I’m pretty sure Wyle was referring to the PPDG limit of 4 gc per 10 days.

It was my first Ebay gift card to purchase this month from PPDG. I hope you were able to benefit from this deal.

Got it work. So the point is you have to add at least $20 worth of things that is not excluded by the terms but you can use gift card to make it to $100 minimum. Otherwise the code will only subtract the price that you paid for non-excluded items up to its actual price (if less than $20). Stack with Shopathome if you can.

Great I got it to work. I order a 100 gas card with 10 discount for 90 and some postage stamps that were slightly under the price I can get them at the post office and no shipping fees. Easy money!

All of the forever stamps I see on the site are about $20 for 20 stamps which is about double the post office. What is the link to the item you bought?

Thanks. I’m probably not going to buy it as I don’t use too many stamps. I was just curious how she found it. This does have a shipping charge though unlike the ones Rebecca bought.

Nice. Thanks for the stamps idea. I was actually running low. Now I got ~$21.50 worth for ~$3 net and I’m good for a year or more. The $80 in ebay GCs won’t last that long, though. 🙂

I just got it to work buying a $100 Chevron Texaco GC for $92 and $30 worth of other stuff (Workout protein and memory card readers). Spent $97 in the end 🙂
