I was able to get the 75K $10K offer by using the online appl. No instant approval. Called in and was approved after what they called a “fraud check”. I confirmed the offer with the CSR. FYI – I already have a Biz card as well. We’ll see if I get the 75k points.

THIS OFFER IS A TARGETED OFFER AND WILL NOT WORK IF YOU TRY TO CALL IN FOR IT!!!!!!!!!

The absolute best way to get the 75k/10,000 minimum spend offer to show is to use a VPN (SurfEasy is a good one that has a free version that works well). I used the SurfEasy and changed my location to Canada, wait a couple of minutes, then load the amex website (doesn’t even need to be incgonito) and the 75k/10,000 minimum spend offer should show up. Won’t work for 75k/5,000 minimum spend but at least you get the 75k points offer.

Does that work for the personal offers too?

No, only for biz. Best I’ve ever seen for personal is 50k points/1,000 minimum spend. I mean the VPN would probably get that offer to load but I have also gotten it to load just by opening incognito windows before. I’ve never seen a 75k points offer load for the personal card.

Downloaded SurfEasy and been trying different countries and regions with no luck. Am I missing something? Just go to americanexpress.com and click on business cards right? I only get the 25,000

Hmm strange, not sure why it wouldn’t work for you. I just turned on the VPN changed country to Canada and then typed in Amex Business Gold Rewards into Google and up came the 75k. One time I only got 50k to load under a different country so I tried out different countries and it ended up working for 75k with Canada. But I suppose that could vary. I used Google Chrome and it actually doesn’t seem to work in incognito, just use regular window. Try with Chrome if you haven’t already.

Anyone knows if this offer has the 12 month languages in it? I know some targeted offers don’t have it but a lot of the public offers do say that…

Thanks

I’d be very cautious to apply for any of these. Amex business cards seem to be FR magnets. They seem especially sensitive to ramped up spending on these cards — and the spend requirements are decent.

That’s not to say don’t do it, but if you do, know that you should be careful and be prepared to provide documents regarding your business.

I should append this by saying I’d be cautious if you are going to MS with this. If you have a legit business then go ahead.

do you have any evidence to back this up? I’ve had 3 amex business cards for my “business” and have never had any issues. just wondering where you are getting this info

Based on a number of FT threads. It’s purely anecdotal evidence, but it seems to account for a lot of the FR reports.

Has anything changed in the last week in regards to this? I hung up and called again for 4 hours on Monday and nobody I talked to would honor any of these offers for me. Every representative told me the only offer was for 25,000 points. After about 2 hours of refreshing in incognito mode, I got the 50k for $5k spend offer and signed up online.
