Our Verdict
They have offered the same deal in the past (with the same minimum spend requirements), the normal sign up bonus on this card is 20,000 miles after first purchase. I suspect we’ll see this 50,000 mile offer more often now that Barclaycard cannot issue the US Airways card (now American Airlines Aviator).

The companion ticket is an excellent deal when comes to international travel on Lufthansa. Also you don’t see 0% APR on an airline credit card very often.
Not necessarily, IMO the high taxes and fuel surcharges negate the value of the companion ticket. For example, a round-trip ticket costing $1700 from the US to asia on Lufthansa costs $1000 + $700 in taxes and fees.
