Chase Ink Plus 70,000 Point Offer With Waived Annual Fee Still Available In Branch

The Offer

  • Chase have been offering a sign up bonus of 70,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points after $5,000 in spend on the Chase Ink Plus card. This offer is still available until sometime in November (if anybody finds out the exact date, let us know in the comments)

Card Details

  • Annual fee of $95 is waived the first year
  • Card earns at the following rates:
    • 5x points per $1 spent at office supply stores and on cellular phone, landline, internet and cable TV services (limit of $50,00 each account anniversary year)
    • 2x points per $1 spent at gas stations and hotel accomodations (limit of $50,000 each account anniversary year)
    • 1x point per $1 spent on all other purchases
  • No foreign transaction fees
  • Chase 5/24 rule does apply to this card

Our Verdict

This has been extended a few times now, so it’s possible that Chase doesn’t actually plan to phase out this offer. That being said, you might want to grab it sooner rather than later due to some rumored changes to the card. The Chase Ink Cash card is also at $300 in branch, but you can get that same offer by using a referral link. If you apply online, you should be able to get matched to the 70,000 point offer but you won’t be able to get the annual fee waived. There have been recently targeted offers for 100,000 points as well.

If you do go in branch, you might also want to check for pre-approved offers to help avoid the 5/24 rule and also complete the Chase $500 checking & savings bonuses (#1 bank bonus currently).

Hi Doc, if I do not have a business checking, only have personal checking, is it possible I have pre-approval for a business credit card like ink plus? Do I have to open a business checking first?

I stopped by the branch and talked to the banker. Banker said you need to have a business account with Chase first in order to check if there is a preapproval offer for INK plus. Is this true? Do I need to open a business checking account first?

Thanks.

I just opened on on Monday with no business account, though I did open the personal checking/savings at the same time.

Hi Tly, do you meant that you have no business account but do have pre-aprroval offer for ink plus?

that’s amazing that 5/24 doesn’t apply… i just downgraded my Ink Plus to Ink cash… I wonder how long I have to wait before I apply for this.

LOL

OK, reading before having my morning tea… 🙁

but it seems like in-branch pre-approval overrules 5/24 like it did with with CSR… so it’s worth a try.
