Free $20 Credit on Amazon with $100 Gift Card Purchase [Amazon Visa Cardholders, YMMV]

The Offer

Direct Link

  • Purchase a total of $100 in Amazon gift cards, pay with your Amazon Rewards Visa credit card from Chase, and receive a $20 Amazon credit within 5 days sent to your email. Use promo code ARCGIFT100.

You can click the link above to see if you’re eligible (you won’t be if you don’t have an Amazon Visa card). You can also check by putting $100 of gift cards in your cart and using code ARCGIFT100 at checkout. If you are eligible, it will say “promotional code successfully applied”, if not it will say that you aren’t eligible.

Some Amazon Visa cardholders got this to work and others did not, so it appears to be targeted.

The Fine Print

  • Can be combination of small gift cards, so long as the total is $100 in gift cards in one order.
  • Must select Amazon Rewards Visa card as payment method. (The Amazon Store card apparently will be eligible for this offer.)
  • $20 credit must be used within 45 days.

Our Verdict

It’s interesting to see offers being released for Amazon cardholders and this could be a great deal for those who are eligible.  You can see our list of Best Credit Cards for Amazon Purchases here. Remember that to be eligible for this deal you’ll need to pay with your Amazon Visa card which is not a bad choice in any case since it earns 3% back on Amazon purchases.

Remember also that Prime members can get an increased signup bonus of $70 for opening an Amazon Visa card and that the Amazon store card (not the Visa card) now earns 5% back on all Amazon purchases.

I wasn’t able to get it to work and I was using Amazon rewards. They did offer a $40 gift card if I opened Amazon store card tho.

Nice, thanks for posting. With the Sallie Mae 5% card this makes me feel a bit better about hanging on to the Chase Amazon
