is anyone now able to send / xfer $ via google wallet? tried earlier today, but got a msg from wallet as follows:
this debit card cannot be used to transfer money…

hope it was a temp glitch on WF; not a permanent exclusion of Wallet

Where does the $.51, $.52, etc. go when you use Google Wallet? Are there any fees? If not, why don’t more people use this rather than Amazon Reloads for debit purchase requirements?

My account goes to my Dad’s account. No fees when using bank debit card. Google Wallet site will advise whether or not a fee will occur after linking the card.

No problem at all. 10 per month to avoid the fees, can be just $0.01 each

Yeah, I guess I could close it. I am going to take a closer look at their credit cards first, but unless I apply for one of them, I may just go ahead and close via SM.

I just hit a WF ATM and used a non WF card for a withdrawal. I got an offer for the $100 bonus on the screen and printed it out. It gave me a “unique” offer code. It says “for single use only”.

Skay, the same thing happened to me with MA zip. Just call 800-932-6736 24-7 to open your account by phone with a rep. You can use cc to fund up to $300. I used Chase Freedom went through with CA 100. The debit card will come in 5-7 calendar days. The welcome package will come in 5-7 business days which need to be signed and Mail back in enclosed envelope. The pin will come separate a few days before or after the card. The rep. will help setting up your account if you have access to an your email and can confirm by reply to his email package while he is on the phone. He will connect you to an automation system to set up your 6 digit temp. Pin which is your temp. Pw. Your user id is your ss. Need to change your temp. Pin in 48hrs. Hope this help

Hi Shaun, I also have a MA zip and got the same error online. I called that number and a rep said there were no new offers for brand new customers, only those with an existing relationship with Wells Fargo. Did you get any sort of coupon by email?

Hi Skay, the online account application from the offer page does not work for my MA zip either. When I put CA zip in, it works. Did you call the phone number on the message? What did they say? Can we open accounts by phone? Wonder did you find out any alternatives? I will report back if I find out more inf. Thanks

Called the toll free number on the mailer , 1-877-250-2240, banker was able to open the account with promo code, and fund max $300 with visa/mc/discover

Indeed. I got an error message “We’re Sorry We are unable to process your request at this time. Please call 1-800-932-6736 for assistance.”

Then I called that number and spoke to someone who didn’t really understand what I was asking him. But then he looked into his list of promotions for new customers and found nothing. He said over and over again that all promotions are for people with existing relationships with Wells Fargo and that there was nothing for brand new customers.
