$10 Kmart Credit with $100 Visa Gift Card Purchase

The Offer

Direct Link (ad page 8)

  • Purchase $100 in Visa/Mastercard/Amex gift cards from Kmart and receive a $10 Kmart credit.

Note: This deal runs from 8/2/15-8/8/15. The Kmart credit is only valid from 8/9/15-8/15/15.

The Fine Print

  • Limit one $10 award card per transaction.
  • You can mix and match Visa/MC/Amex gift cards. So long as the total is $100, you’ll be eligible for the $10 credit.
  • Award card is valid for use in-store or online.

Our Verdict

“Limit one award card per transaction” I believe this means that you can’t get more than one award card in a single transaction, but you can get multiple $10 credits by splitting up the purchase and buying multiple $100 gift cards and getting multiple $10 Kmart credits.

This deal is mainly useful for someone who shops regularly at Kmart/Sears as they’ll have an easy way of liquidating these $10 Kmart credits. Since these expire quickly, it’s only useful if you have a plan to use them.

The real kicker would be if you can maximize this deal by purchasing the Visa gift cards with a Kmart gift card, but that’s something that the cashiers are trained not to allow.

  • Cash only.

    Passed !

I still have more than $100 to use on other Sears/KMART gift cards. Not sure I even want any more.

Everything in KMART is 20% higher than Walmart

  • I just purchased a $100 MasterCard and they would not accept credit card cash only. After giving them my member rewards number I finished out the transaction and I didn't receive a $10 bonus card. I went to customer service where she tried telling me the promotion doesn't start until 8/9. I told her that's when the bonus card starts. She gave me a $10 gift card that can be used right away so I came out ahead by $3.95

  • For all intents and purposes the credit is really only worth $4.05 considering the $100 Visa/MC GC has a $5.95 fee. Were the fee waived this might be worth it, especially if you put the credits towards some resale worthy 100% SYW back items.

  • Is there a limit as to how many of these award cards you can redeem at a time next week?
