Our Verdict

The best way to maximize this deal is as follows:

  • Purchase $300 in eBay gift cards for $270
  • Do a partial payment using Target giftcards and then a small amount using a Target Redcard (Redbird), you’ll need to select the credit card option then input your redcard number. This will save you another 5% or $13.5.

This deal is even better as you might have Target gift cards that were discounted from a previous eBay deal, but even if not you’re paying  $256.5 for $300 in eBay gift cards which you can use in the future for eBay gift card deals. As far as I know you won’t earn any cash back or miles for gift cards on Target.com by going through a portal, but it never hurts to try and see what happens.

  • I received the gift cards but none of them will actually work! I can put them in on eBay but Paypal is denying them. Anybody else?

    • I just attempted to use one of my three $50 codes and it appeared to accept it just fine.

      I did not follow thru. Just a test to see if it would deny it or not.

  • Tried again for three $100s and the order was rejected about an hour later.

    Why not just say they are no longer offering $100 cards if they are not ?

    • I was actually able to (finally) buy 3 of the $100 cards yesterday. I got no communication from them for about 12 hours after purchase, but they finally came through. I also got 6 each of the $25 and $50 gift cards, so I'm up to $750. I tried to buy two more $100 cards this morning (they wouldn't let me buy 3), so we'll see how that goes.

  • My orders all say "shipped", but I did not receive the information. I've searched my email, including my spam folder, but they're not showing up. Is anyone else having this issue, or just me? I ordered 2x$100 that were canceled, so I ordered 2 more that were shipped, also 2x$50 and 2x$25. All say "Shipped" and I haven't received the info for any of them.

    • I never received the emails, but by going to targetecards.com and inputting my email (associated with my Target.com account) and order #s I was able to access my gift cards. Hope this helps someone else.

  • Anyone have any luck with TCB or Ebates giving cashback on your target purchase? just in general, doesn't necessarily have to be this transaction.

  • My order for 3 $50 cards paid for with target GCs came thru in 45 minutes.

    I don't have a redbird or whatever so I didn't get an extra 5%.

    I guess I may go back for 3x $25 more just because 10% is 10%. Plus, I have an extra $4.96 remaining in a target GC.

    Wonder if they are just out of $100s ?

    • Just bought two more $100 GCs....bought 3 yesterday or day before. The 2 I ordered today were delivered a couple of hours after I ordered. Used $100 Target GC and Redcard to pay.

  • Was anyone able to buy 3 cards of two different amounts in the same order? For example, buy 3x$50 and 3x$25 in a single order? Or is it 3 cards max (of all types) per order?

    I tried to use up 4 old target giftcards for part of my $300 order.

    I was happy to use them up because Ive sat on them for years without using them..

    But the orders were cancelled.

        • I did call in, but they were genuinely useless. I called twice in fact: first time after my 2 previous orders of just $100x1 online orders were canceled (tried Mon night, got cancellation email, so tried this morning, also got cancellation email), so i called in to find out what happened...as the lady was clueless, i just had her place another order over phone to see if that makes a difference, but 2 hours later it was again canceled. i called back in, this time it was an useless chap that just said i dunno why it got canceled but you can just try again--he was clearly not understanding that i've already tried thrice and unwilling to try again blindly without knowing the cause for the first 3 fails first.

          I've given up and will just purchase $50x2 instead; hopefully that comes through as everyone is reporting.

  • I ordered 9 $100, 3 $50, 3 $25 ebay gift card. I got 3 $100, 3 $50 3$25 but the rest of 6 $100 were canceled.

    The good thing is it is in time for the new "$100 Target GiftCard™ for $95 - US Mail Delivery" started last evening. I also got 3X ebay bucks for order > $50.

      • Do you have a link? I didn't see this on the site. Also your comment was posted about 3 hours before I received the email so if it did exist it's already over.

    • I did use $400 target gc with redbird and the order went through without any issue. Apparently Target detected that I ordered more than 3 $100 gc and decided to cancel rest 6 $100 ebay gc.

  • Trying again for the $25 and $50 cards. All of my $100 cards were canceled. I'm not holding my breath.

    • Whew. Well, the 3x$25 and 3x$50 gift cards just came through. I'm going to try to order those on my wife's account as well. 10% off $450 would be a nice treat, but I wish the $100 cards were working!

  • 8 hours and not a peep from target on 3x$50 and 3x$25. The order is created, but not sent and no communication at all.
