The Fine Print
- Valid until June 26th, 2018
Hawaiian Airline Mile Uses
You can get flights for 40,000 miles round trip with the card from mainland USA to Hawaii (35,000 with the Hawaiian credit card), but there isn’t a lot of space available. More space is available at the 25,000-30,000 one way pricing. Another good use of the miles is for inter-island flights in Hawaii; they come out at 7,500 miles per one way trip.
You can transfer Hawaiian Miles to Hilton. These miles cannot be transferred to Hilton due to this fine print:
Note: Transfers will be made immediately, however, please allow up to 48 hours for the transfer to be complete. Points transferred into HawaiianMiles accounts may not be transferred to a third party loyalty program.

I live in Hawaii and I have Hawaiian miles because it's unavoidable. Horrible program. I think they only have three airline partners now for redemption of miles. It can't really be called a mileage program really. The max value I have been able to get out of my miles is 1.33 cents per mile and that was because I had the credit cards years ago which allowed 35k for RT flight. That was also back when airfare from/to Hawaii were higher. I think Hawaiian purposely limits the value you can get from their miles. It's quite easy to get a value of .5 - .8c per mile but the closer you get to 1c per mile, the more scarce the availability of award flights. Even inter-island, you can only redeem 7500 one way on those cheaper flights during inconvenient times (at least inconvenient for me as a local resident). The more convenient schedules usually cost 10,000 miles one way.
If they ever made JFK-HNL F saver award available I would do this... but they don't release it, ever.
80k min for one way is lame.
