The Offer

3,500 Link / 3,000 Link

  • Swagbucks is currently offering 3500 Swagbucks when signing up for Hulu Live TV for $39.99 per month
  • Swagbucks is currently offering 3000 Swagbucks when signing up for an ordinary Hulu subscription
  • Amex has an offer available to get $50 off $50 with Hulu. It’s no longer available for enrollment, those who have it saved can use it until 5/23/18.
  • Some Bank of America cardholders (and other banks) are targeted to get $15 back on a Hulu Live TV subscription; others might have an offer to get $7.99 back on a standard Hulu subscription

The Fine Print

  • SB Awarded within 24 hours.
  • Please note: If you cancel your membership within 7 days, your SB may be revoked.
  • Offer applies to new and eligible returning subscribers only. Existing Hulu subscribers are not eligible.
  • This offer may only be redeemed (1) one time per user.
  • If you do not receive credit within 24 hours, please reach out to our Customer Service team

Deal Scenarios

  1. The optimal deal scenario is to sign up for the 3500 Live TV offer, pay the $39.99 + tax for one month, then downgrade to a standard $7.99 monthly plan. With tax, you should end up just over the $50 Amex threshold.
  2. Another scenario could be to do the 3000 SB deal and pay with a Bank of America card if you have an offer to get $7.99 back and net the free Swagbucks. Or pay with an Amex and keep the plan for a few months to meet the $50 threshold (use add-ons or whatnot to pump your numbers up)

Our Verdict

This could be an excellent moneymaker if played well. It should work even for those who did previous Hulu deals on Swagbucks (so long as you aren’t currently a subscriber) since this Live TV deal is probably considered a new deal. (Usually Swagbucks lets you know when you can do a deal when you click through.)

A couple things to keep in mind:

  • Remember to cancel when you no longer want the Hulu subscription. Put it on your calendar, whatever.
  • Bear in mind that some people end up having problems either with the portal tracking or with Swagbucks deactivating their account for reasons which aren’t clear, so keep the risks in mind.

  • BofA credit for $15 still hasn't processed and will expire tomorrow, I am sure this is the first time I signed up for Hulu + Live TV (Did the normal Hulu before though). Is there anyway to inquire about it with BofA?

  • Looks like the 3500 SB Live TV offer may now be expired.

Upon clicking through the offer from SB (which then routes through TrialPay):

"Sorry, this offer is not available.

This offer may have expired or been deactivated temporarily by the advertiser. We have many offers though, so please try another one."

  • woohoo successfully did this Hulu Live deal (did the reg? Hulu deal earlier in the year - not sure if that was thru another ad provider or if it doesnt matter since this is a diff product & includes returning customers specifically)... but anyways SBs posted instantly. thanks DoC!

now onto the AO part. so how long do I wait to switch to the reg $7.99 plan & get that added/billed to my AMEX to trigger the AO? is there anything cheaper say like around $6.50 or $6.99 or so that I can add - esp right now & get done w/the AO immediately?

  • I don't see the 3000 SB offer requiring the 39.99 Hulu Live TV subscription though.
I'm not eligible, per trialpay anyway.

  • Please correct me if I am wrong you, but if you are not eligible for the Amex offer, it is only a $10 money maker. You get ~$35 from SB and $15 from BofA by spending $40 on Hulu.

  • Anyone have a sense of how long these offers usually stay available? Like if I wanted to wait a week, what are the chances it would still be there?

    • Most likely dead in a week. For Swagbucks: "You snooze, you lose!"

I've learned that lesson too many times. It's best to complete them right when you see Chuck's posts.
