500 Hilton Points For Listening To Timeshare Pitch Over The Phone

The Offer

No direct link to offer, Hilton reps are offering it when calling in for other matters

  • Hilton Grand Vacations is offering 500 points when you enter your information and agree to listen to a timeshare pitch over the phone (~5 mins)

Our Verdict

We’ve seen a similar offer before but it was more formal in that there was a landing page, offer was significantly better as well (5k points). 500 points isn’t worth it unless you need them for a specific redemption.

  • Did this yesterday and the rep was VERY pushy about getting me to sign up for a package, to the point that I had to decline the deal more than 4-5 times because the rep kept digging for a way to change my answer ("no thanks, I need to think about it" -> "I can wait").

Also, it seems like they are willing to offset the upfront cost by offering up to 30-40,000 HHonors points if you book. Started off with 10,000 and increased every time I declined.

  • I was booking an award stay and they offered this. It took two min to listen and then decline on Vegas and Florida. The rep could not understand why I wouldn't want to go to Florida (she was from there and I felt like she was a bit offended??)...

  • with a landing page, this could work, but based on experience, i wouldn't trust hilton to post those 500 points if u simply agreed to be transferred at the end of a call to reservations. it's remotely possible if u ask both at the start and end of the call for confirmation of the account to which they'll post and the timing. but otherwsie, good luck seeing those points!

  • I did the (semi painful) opinion research questionnaire for 10,000 Honors points. I MIGHT do this one for 10,000 points. 500? You've got to be kidding.

    • it took me 3 mins, it took me out of the survey and then I got the 10k points. Have you tried the 5k points for just dining ?

  • My wife got this for Hyatt. I had no idea she did it until I saw the 500 bonus points in her account. I don't think she had to fill anything out. They just called her at random. Points posted in about 3 days.

  • $2.50 in points??? What happened to the days of getting an off-brand TV or a toaster oven?
