Our Verdict
This enrolls you in auto billing, so remember to cancel just before the 12 months is up otherwise you will be charged the $5.99 per month. Same deal was made available last year as well. You can try going through a portal as well, clicking through won’t show this offer but you should be able to click back to the homepage to see it and then hope it tracks.
Has anyone who signed up last year on 11/30/2020, cancelled yet? Were there any promotional offers to extend your subscription?
If we cancel in mid-November (or today), will we continue to receive service until November 26 (or whatever date is the renewal date)?
Has anyone heard about a similar offer for Black Friday or Cyber Monday of this year (2021)?
FYI I cancelled and was offered the following retention offer others mentioned here: 1 free month and 12 months of $1.99/mo. I got the free month but my rate changed to $5.99. I chatted this morning and was told that was a mistake but they’re “looking into a solution”. They gave me an extra free month for the hassle. I just pushed out my reminder to February 1 to cancel if the solution isn’t $1.99/mo for 12 months.

This offer excludes gift cards, which I found out the hard way after I bought a 25 dollar gift card from Fluz during the Amex credit thing.
You can’t activate the offer using a gift card, but you can still use one. After signing up/reupping your subscription, enter your gift card into your account so the remaining 11 charges will use its balance.
Some parts of CA, CO, FL, IL, IN, MO, NV, OH, PA & TX may misclassify Hulu as carnivals, concerts, or utility companies to generate taxes while pending litigation determines if such taxes violate the Internet Tax Freedom Act’s ban on multiple or discriminatory taxes on electronic commerce. Proposition 126, the Protect Arizona Taxpayers Act, bans taxing Hulu subscriptions, gym memberships, etc. Paying with discounted gift cards or prepaid visas makes changing zip codes a simple task.

If going through a portal is iffy to track, I wonder if the portals that have Chrome or other browser extensions that light up and alert you to cashback sometimes have an activate button would that be better to track?
I signed up using the link and got it for $1.99/month. I used my Wells Fargo Cash Wise credit card, so hopefully will cost me $0.00 per month.
why does using that credit card zero out your purchase? btw, tax brings it up to $2.15 for me.
Set up auto pay to pay for 0.16 every month before the statement closes. It’s what I did. WF waived the other 1.99.

Does anyone know of any promotions for HBO Max? That’s what I would really like to get. I’ve missed the $11 promo they run back in Sep. I had a one week trial recently and was blown away by the quality. It’s not just the HBO original content but they seem to have every recent and current movie available for free. Not to mention Wonder Woman 1986 will be released on HBO Max for free. Sort of reminds me of good old days of Movie Pass.

If you sign up for Hulu under this deal it will unlock the $5 off on cash app right ?
Also I can cancel auto renewal on hulu after signing up so that you won’t be charged second month onward right ?
I have the same boost and am going to give it a try now. I will report back if it unlocks the boost or not.
Update: Ok that did not take long, it instantly unlocked. The boost has an expiration of 15 days to use the $5 off $5 or more.
