The Offer

  • Bilt is offering another transfer bonus for Bilt rent day on November 1, 2023. This time a transfer bonus of up to 150% to Emirates. The bonus you receive depends on your status with Bilt:
    • Blue: 75% bonus
    • Silver: 100% bonus
    • Gold: 125% bonus
    • Platinum: 150% bonus

Our Verdict

Bonus is based on your status as of 11/1. Takes 96 hours after you make a transaction for your status to be updated. Same rates as we saw for Virgin earlier in the year. This is a great transfer bonus, even at the 75% level. Even though it’s great I’d only recommend if you have a specific redemption in mind as you never know when a devaluation will hit.

Also they have likely illegal surcharges on some routes only on award tickets, not cash ones. Some countries ban/restrict them, EK doesn’t charge from those countries on cash fares but does on award tickets. Evidence: https://imgur.com/gallery/bjGFnbW

Not sure if there are any sweet spots that I’m not aware of, but I checked a few flights and they still had underwhelming value after accounting for the high taxes/fees

Yeah, and the fact that they are stopping A388 flights to the USA, this is a hard pass. The 100% Bilt transfer bonus to AF/KLM in May got me TWO transat flights in J, one as far away as IST-JFK. Emirates is in Delta’s corner of the room when it comes to uncompetitive award pricing .
