Earn Plenti Points By Watching Hulu (Up To $12 Per Month)

Plenti is American Express’ coalition loyalty program, you can earn and redeem points with any of their partners. One of their partners is Hulu and reader Eric W recently pointed out that you can watch shows to earn points. Usually there is three offers and each offer earns you 200 points (worth $2), the offers expire after two weeks and are replaced by three more offers.

Obviously it’s not worth watching 10 shows just to get $2 in rewards, but you might as well activate the offers every two weeks just in case you end up watching the required amount of shows. If you completed all offers then you’d be able to earn $12 a month (although 60 shows per mont is quite a bit).

Anyone else not seen the hulu offers on their accounts these past few months? Think they’re getting wise and don’t wanna dish out the hulu fee anymore heh heh…

Have done this several times – open an extra browser and let the shows play in the background on your PC. Usually it will trigger inactivity stoppage after several shows without interruption, but I only have to click “I am still here” once in order to reach 10 shows in the particular category. Easy free gas.

I do this as well, and I’d point out that in particular the kid’s shows category, the episodes of some series are only 10-12 minutes long!

Lately I’ve been having trouble with these offers crediting, and I’m starting to think it might be because I use Microsoft Rewards points to get Hulu Plus for free each month. While it was working, it was awesome: searches on Bing earning me free Hulu, which then earned me free gas through Plenti.

I’m not doing the Microsoft Rewards thing but had issues with the last set of offers and I am about to contact them about the current offers not posting.

Plenti also had a “sign up bonus” for people who subscribe to Hulu and link their plenti account. It was 1000 points and went up to 1500 in april/may. Don’t know if it’s still available.

I paid for a month of Hulu (something like $8.49 or $8.99) and was given a two week free trial to start off, so six weeks of Hulu. The 200 point offers regenerate every two weeks, so you can get more than two per month if you time it right. I was able to get 1500 sign up bonus + ~2400 from these offers during those six weeks. I did have trouble getting credited occasionally, and it’s not worth $2 to fight Plenti for the points.
