Nice spend offer for the holiday season. Not sure if all their cardholders got this or it’s targeted.

  • I was also targeted for $300/$3000. I called customer service to confirm because I feared it was a hoax!

  • I got the $300/$3000 offer. However, the terms say that spending cannot include any of the following:

    • Balance transfers
    • Cash advances
    • Fees
    • Finance charges
    • ATM transactions
    • Inter-link processed transaction
    • Purchases of and any fees paid towards gift cards
    • Pre-paid cards
    • Re-loadable cards
    • Purchases of payment instruments that can readily be converted to cash (for example, travelers’ cheques, money orders, wire transfers, lottery tickets, casino gaming chips, off track betting, wagers
    • Impermissible purchases such as purchases made for business purposes.

What are "fees" exactly? If I use the card to pay Rent and Insurance Premiums, are those "fees"?

    • Their interpretation may be different but like when I pay my estimated taxes, the fees are separated out as a different charge. That's my guess.

As far as the pre-paid fees go with purchasing of pre-paid cards, I'm not sure how they'd know if bought at like a grocery store.

  • Must be a higher hurdle for those that already use it a lot. Mine was $300 bonus for $3000 spend.

  • Targeted, but for folks that missed the email and do a lot of spending on the car, this note: “No opt-in necessary; simply pay using your Alliant Visa® Signature card and you’re eligible!“

  • Confirming I also got the $150 for $1,500 email offer. I spend about $1,000 monthly on my card. Perfect timing too because I was just about to pay my property tax online!

  • These micro-MSRs are popping up everywhere. Alliant, NASA, Penfed...

How come they never run these when I'm in between SUB cards?
