Amazon has a 16% discount on Instacart e-gift cards when you use promo code INSTACART at checkout.

Readers noticed that while most gift card deals on Amazon are limited to one card, this one is working as an unlimited deal. For example, I added 10 x $100 Instacart e-gift cards, input the promo code, and it took $160 off the purchase. Seems like you can order even $2,000, $3,000, or even more.
In any case, this can be quite a good deal while it lasts for those who use Instacart and want to lock in the 16% discount. As always, you can get 5% back with an Amazon credit too and possibly other Amazon promos can combine with this. I can’t seem to get the Shop-With-Points deals to work on this, though.
Presumably this is a temporary mistake, but it could be worth getting in on this while it’s around. Note: You can only place one order with the discount; be sure to buy as many as you need in one shot.

Order cancelled after an enormous amount of hassle dealing with Amazon reps. Would never buy 3rd party gift cards worth more than $200 in one transaction again. Locked out of my Amazon account for multiple hours. What a massive waste of time.
Is it no longer available? I kept trying to add it but not showing in the cart?
Instacart charges more than a 16% premium on the goods they sell, so this isn't worth it if you actually care about getting a good price on the stuff you're buying from them.
It depends on the store. Some of them offer in-store prices.
If you have free Instacart Express through Chase or some other offer, the total markup is closer to 10% or 15%... meaning you basically are getting free delivery here (or maybe 5% discount on groceries)... even free delivery is great as a time-saver
Not just yet, they are still in growth mode. Walmart is notoriously still surcharge free. Couple that with frequent discounts and it is cheaper than shopping at Vons, not to mention more convenient.
It's for convenience. I don't expect to not pay a premium to have someone else shop for me and deliver to my door. Personally I use it to send groceries to my home bound in laws out of state.
Getting an invalid code error after redeeming my first 9. Bought 1500 worth. Is there a velocity limit at instacart or maybe they didn’t activate even though amazon sent them?
I believe I read somewhere there's a hardcoded 3 figure limit you can load (like $999), so I'd try to reload after spending $1+ and see what happens.
My balance is 1300 now so don’t think a limit applies.

Edit: Amazon just called from Inverness, CA “potential spam” phone number and verified that I placed that order. GCs received 2 minutes later.
I wasn’t able to apply ‘shop with Amex points’ discount to the gift card alone, but when I added a regular item to the shopping cart, the Amex discount was applied to the whole amount ( including the instacart gift card).
Bought some $50 and $100 e-cards in one order. The code worked on the whole order. Good deal.
