  • Darn it. It's either I don't shop at those places or the ones I want to shop at are not available in my area and charge an arm and a leg for shipping.

    • Better off buying $50 Panera GC in store to use up full Happy card amount then pay with Panera GC online (save it to your account) -- I'll wait for their holiday promo usually in Nov/Dec (buy $50 GC get $10 promo GC free)

        • Panera $10 promo just started according to gift card page on Panera website -- might take stores a few days to know about it:

Get a $10.00 bonus card for every $50 in Panera Bread plastic gift cards and eGift cards purchased or reloaded in-cafe or online between 11/10/21–12/31/21. Gift cards and eGift cards must be purchased or reloaded in a single transaction and cannot be a combination of separate in-cafe and/or online purchases. Customers making qualifying purchases will receive the bonus card at the time of purchase for in-cafe purchases or within forty-eight (48) hours by email to the email address used to place the online order. While supplies last. Bonus card can be used multiple times until the $10.00 is depleted or the promotion expires. Bonus cards are valid online or in-cafe at participating bakery-cafes from 1/1/22–1/31/22. See Bonus card for additional bonus card restrictions and requirements. See gift card or PaneraBread.com for additional gift card restrictions and requirements, and a list of participating bakery-cafes.

  • Does gamestop still sell amazon gift cards in store? Since this is effectively a credit-transaction only debit card, would it work for purchasing gift cards?

    • James. The physical card says something like "not for gift cards" on the back, but It worked for me to use card to buy Amazon GC at GS. In my area employees don't care as long as the computer lets them complete the transaction. You cannot use a GS GC (which you get from those online redemption cards) to buy a third party GC though; it's blocked by the POS system.

      • I bought Amazon GC with a physical happy card at my local GameStop without any problem. However, the cashier asked me the last four digits of the card. The last four digits were protected by a silver label. It looked like a fraud protection mechanism when doing swipe transactions because I have never been asked for last four digits during any shopping trips.
