Prime Day 2 Announcement

Amazon has announced that they will be running a second prime day sale for 2022 (our affiliate link here & below) and it will run from October 11 until October 12. Amazon previously ran a sale in July. It’s slightly odd seeing this sale considering there will also be big sales for Black Friday and the last Prime Day sale wasn’t too long ago.

Normally the lead up deals to Prime day are better than the actual Prime day deals, but the early access deals look very basic at the moment. Hopefully we see some more free Amazon credit deals.

  • I bought nothing on this years prime day , despite surfing around for a hour each day. waste of time. no realistic promos either (the kind where you get $10 to spend on prime day for buying 1 thing in whole foods before etc.)

don't hate me for this....but I'm using W+ a whole lot more for basics / essentials. good prices and reliable delivery 2/3 of the time.

    • They had a bunch of "realistic promos" where they gave you free credit for doing something as easy as visiting a webpage prior to Prime day. They also had their usual free amazon credit when you purchase an amazon gift card. A lot of the best deals were on Amazon devices, so only relevant if you are in the market for that kind of stuff. I got an Echo Show 5 and Blink mini camera for $10 w/ trade in of my 2nd gen echo dot. I thought that was a pretty good deal.

  • Translation: Sales weren't good enough on Prime Day, people aren't buying as much with inflated prices and inflation so annual sales figures are in jeopardy which will cause knee jerk reactions by shareholders because a business must have infinity growth year over year until the end of time so Jeff Bozos is trying to avoid several billion in paper losses because he is leveraged and wants to fund his next mission: First asshole to Mars.

The real prime day sales were meh, black friday sales are always meh. Don't fall for the marketing nonsense. The best prices are usually spring and about 2 weeks before black friday. Use services like camelcamelcamel to make sure you are getting the best historical price on things.

  • $21 off on AirPods Pro 2 now 229 only. This prime day sale.
    Apple watch ultra 709.
    Google Pixel 6a 399.
    iPhone 16 Max PRO 512GB 1399 from 1599.
$10 Amazon GC for $9.50. LIMITED to one per household.

    • Google Pixel 6a was recently on sale for $349 on Amazon. Google is currently running a promo for that price for existing Fi customers.

      • I think he's joking. But Best Buy has the Pixel 6 (not 6a) for only $200 and 6 Pro for $400 for T-Mobile and Verizon.

  • Amazon announces second "We're going to mark up this $15 power bank to $22 then put it on sale for $15" Day for 2022

  • Got a few things on last sale. (Amazon gift cards for 20% off, Granola bars, lots of pantry and kitchen items)

Used the free Amazon Prime trial, then canceled before the 30th day

Going to wait a couple days before Prime Day deals goes live, sign up for the 1 week Amazon Prime trial for only $1.99, buy anything that seems worthwhile and then cancel before the week is over.
