Our Verdict

Pretty easy to do this deal. Hopefully promo credit will come quickly so it can be used over Prime Day, but they do allow themselves 2 days for promo credit to come. Not sure if a reload will work, buy a gift card to be safe.

We’ll add this to our main Prime Day stickied page.

  • Can't tell if this works if you just do a $25 self reload...it should right? Just did a $25 reload but I haven't gotten confirmation yet.

  • "Limit one promotional credit per Amazon.com Prime account as designated by the primary email address."

What does the above mean? Is it excluding the offer from the non-primary adult account in the same Prime family (non-grandfathered, with only two adult accounts allowed)?

  • I purchased $25 GC and cart was showing correct message (Qualifying offers ....) . The message is still showing up for further amazon GC purchase .Not sure if this deal can be repeated .

  • I clicked the link to apply it automatically, but it didn't show in the shopping cart. I tried manually entering it to be safe, figuring that if the code was redundant it would just tell me.

I got a "this code has already been redeemed" message. Not "already applied" but "already redeemed."

Went back through the link and it assured me I was enrolled. Still nothing at checkout. Decided to be the DP I wanted to see (not like I'm losing anything) and placed the order anyway. No confirm email so far, but they do have two days.

    • linda. wat exactly were you expecting? did you read the post? a promotional credit of $5 will be automatically applied to the Prime account used to purchase the GC within 2 days after purchase.

the only thing u were supposed to see is the qualification language on the checkout page:

      Qualifying offers
Congratulations on your Prime Day gift card purchase. Your purchase qualifies you for an Amazon.com credit. A $5 promotional credit will be automatically applied to your account and emailed to you within two (2) days after shipping.

      • I knew the amount wasn't coming off this purchase. I was expecting to see the qualification language at checkout, as others did, and there was no such language at any point during the checkout process.

        • Did you use mobile or desktop? I had the same experience as you on mobile, will chat if I don't get credit in couple of days.

          • I also noticed this in mobile Firefox and Chrome. So I ticked the option to "request desktop site". Then the message appeared. I think you're fine. Someone likely left off an element in the mobile site.

          • I see, thanks.

Interestingly, my SO, who did it on mobile, now got a confirmation email:

"Thank you for purchasing from Amazon.com. Order *** has earned you a promotional reward which we have added to your account. This reward can be applied to your next eligible order."

I have not yet gotten it, though.

We have a linked prime account (I am primary) and I did offer first, in case it matters.

EDIT: Nevermind, just got my confirmation credit also.

          • I just got my email too. I did buy it on the mobile site. Glad it worked for us all!

  • Perfect! This triggered my $10 for purchasing something for Prime Day. No stress, no clock, very easy THANKS!

    • I also got the $10 credit but it doesn't appear when I try to checkout.
      Did anyone had success?

      • Sorry don’t have a link I meant the one for new Prine members to make a purchase before Prime Day & on Prime Day then get $10 credit.

        • No, sorry for the confusion. Mine was the new Prime members $10 offer for buying something before Prime Day and on Prime Day
