Our Verdict
I suspect the other flexible point currencies will have a special deal like this for Prime Day as well. This is a nice discount and will also work on gift card purchases. Also works even if you’ve done the previous Discover deal.

I'm never eligible for this even though I haven't used it in the past w/ Discover
Finally got the 40% off $100 today, had been trying daily. Not sure how poster @kenpet (June 8, 2021) was able to apply discount towards S&S gift card. I tried a Landry gc using 1 point and it would not work.
Set Discover card/points up on Sunday, was able to get DISCOVERPD $10 on Sunday, but was not until Tuesday where I was eligible for offer following DoC link to get the 40% when paying with 1 point. But very useful. Of course items need to be sold and shipped by amazon.com. Thanks DoC!
It was offered on my page and on my products, but I do not see any evidence, after proceeding to the checkout page, that it works. Typical for me and Amazon, even though I shop FAR too much on the site.

After a while.. was eligible for this. Went back and tried the other one with max $20 and that worked as well.
Scored $40 + $20 today.

Tried to do that, too, but couldn't get the second 40% off to work. (Got the following message but saw no change in my attempted order: "Your points will be applied at checkout but we were not able to activate the promo code. If you have already activated this code, your discount will be applied at checkout.")
