Amazon Offering $10 Furniture Credit as Slow-Shipping Bonus + How to Use

Some of you may have noticed that Amazon has been popping up with a new kind of credit for choosing slow shipping:

Amazon has lots of different kinds of slow-shipping credits, such as $1-3 digital credit, Prime Pantry shipping credit, $3 credit for anything on Amazon, or even instant discounts off the purchase. Now, they’ve added this new one: $10 in credit toward Furniture, Mattresses, or Area Rugs. These rewards expires on September 30, 2017.

$10 credit is the highest we’ve seen, and Amazon is willing to give that kind of credit due to the high cost of these items – it’s almost of like a coupon advertisement. I’ve gotten this $10 offer even on some small purchases. Hard to know the algorithms of why the system sometimes gives this offer or another.

It’s worth noting that while most things in those categories are expensive items, there are some accessories items within those categories which are not which means it’s possible to get some free stuff with this $10 credit, though it’ll be tricky to find something actually useful to you. Always double check that the $10 credit is applying at checkout since some items might not be eligible for the credit.

I earned one of these $10 credits, and today I was playing around to see if there are cheap items it works on. Here are a few random product links you can look at (these links are affiliate links).

  • got $10 credits for Items costed less then $10 after the 30% discount, on prime-day

  • There are definitely some rugs that you can get at or under $10 with the credit, two examples after a quick search:

Generations Brand New Contemporary Modern Square and Circles Area Rug, 2' x 3', Brown/Beige
Generations Traditional Opera Persian Area Rug, 2' x 3', Green

    • Also if you have other credits on your account, for instance (like me) $5 Prime Day Gift Card promo, and $4.99 Dash Promo, these will try to come off before letting you use your $10 furniture credit... my work around is order an item shipped and sold by amazon (say the echo dot for ease) and let that use all your credits, then order furniture, then immediately cancel echo order. If you wait to long (like if your order goes to "preparing for shipment" you can sometimes have issues with your promo credits automatically going back to your account, so dont wait long to cancel the dummy order you do not actually want.

  • For many months now, I get offered nothing but Prime Pantry. Used to get digital credit all the time.

  • I got $20 off a kindle paperwhite a while ago, which didn't stack. I didn't find it useful, some might have.

  • I did some test when I was buying a bunch of $0.99 amazon button during Prime day. Looks like Amazon is giving me the $10 furniture no rush shipping option whenever I buy >= 3 buttons ($2.97). When I buy 1-2 buttons per order it gives me the $1 digital credit

  • Don't the credits stack though? I got in almost all the GC's, was just going to use the furniture credits on a new dresser. lol

  • Have three of these furniture credits and they don't seem to stack. I thought I read that the digital ones do stack for psn digital codes, etc. Anyone get these to stack or is this never the case?

  • Can you stack these $10 credits? Ie if i make 20 separate orders can i get a free $200 nightstand or whatever?
