- Amazon Prime cardholders will earn 6% cash back on Amazon purchases over Prime day rather than the standard 5%
Our Verdict
Not a huge difference, but hey an extra 1% is an extra 1%. You can view all the Prime day deals by clicking here.
Hat tip to GC Galore
I’ll stick to getting a minimum of 7.5% cashback with my chase INK, if not more.
how doe?
You get x5 points at office stores (office depot, staples etc.) so you purchase amazon gift cards. Now depending on which cards you have you can either spend those points on their travel portal or transfer them to many of their partners.
You can also do the same with everyday purchases if you buy visa gift cards from office supply stores and use them to pay for your purchases.
with gift cards you get 9.5 percent
How do you get to 9.5%?

Thanks! Forgot about the debit reload bonus.
Good news that Amz is so generous
Sounds pretty sweet for gift card/reload purchases – load out for the year at an extra 1% back
Last time this worked on all gift cards, Amazon & 3rd-party (e.g., grocery, streaming services). I’m debating to pay Amex BCP $95 AF for 6% or Prime Card $120 AF (or $60 w/.edu) to stock up on 6% for the year, plus latter includes Prime Video & Pandemic Prime’s 2-week shipping.
I am whelmed
Over or under?
probably still deciding
Meh.
*Yawn*

A whole extra 1%? Wow, they’re really ramping it up for Prime Day.
I was going to sit it out but man they reeled me back in with the extra 1%.
Yep, Bezos handing out more breadcrumbs for the peasants 😛 Happy Prime day!
