The Offer

Direct Link to offer (our affiliate link here and below)

  • Amazon Prime members can get 3 months of Audible Premium Plus for free.
  • Included in your trial, you’ll get 1 credit per month to purchase any premium selection title, plus unlimited access to a growing selection of Audible Originals, audiobooks, podcasts, and more.

Cancel anytime. Cost is $14.95/month after the 3-month trial. Signup for this offer expires on July 31, 2022.

Our Verdict

This offer is only for Prime members, both primary and household Prime members. There are other trial offers for non-Prime.

Some people are getting this to show even if they’ve used Audible before on this account while others are not. Regardless, always be sure to see the offer showing clearly before signing up.

Remember to cancel your Audible membership before the 3 months ends if you don’t want to be charged (you can cancel after the third month begins and keep the full 3 months; possibly you can even cancel right after signup and keep the full 3 months).

  • Audible keeps "unpublishing" or replacing previous version of books with "updated" version. If you had bought the "older" version before, you lose access to them on the website. And Audible doesn't tell you that they did so with the book you purchased. If you somehow find out on your own and then contact customer service, THEN they go "yea, that book is now unpublished / has new version. Here, take your credit / money back". i.e. they refund you after YOU catch them, not on their own.

How are they not sued for this is beyond me.

    • When you buy a book at a bookstore, you are not entitled to exchange it for newer versions. When you buy an audio book at Audible (with a credit or paying for it) it is also yours forever.

      • When I buy a book at a bookstore, I am entitled to have that book in my possession forever and read it whenever / however I want. The bookstore doesn't tell me that "even though you bought it, you can only read it while sitting here in this store".

When I buy an audio book at Audible, it is NOT mine forever. Audible REMOVES the "old" version of the book to replace it with the "new" version; and the version of the book that I had bought, I can no longer access that on Audible web app.

        • Not defending Audible at all, but this is exactly why I immediately download my purchases and strip the DRM. At that point, it really is mine forever. If Audible ever removes the option to download the file, they will be dead to me.

  • Definitely not just new subscribers, this worked on one of my alternate accounts that has had various Audible trials before. My guess is it is at least partially based on how long it's been since you last had a membership, as this was my longest dormant Audible account (no luck with other recent promotions).

Will try other accounts later, but doubtful they'll work as they've canceled in the last month or two.

  • Thanks! I am not a Prime member but the 3 months free still worked for me. "Audible Premium Plus is free for your first 3 months. After 3 months, membership continues at $14.95 a month."

  • Anyway to get confirmation of trial membership end date?

Billing just shows the next month.
Assuming I started the trial today, I guess I should cancel after 4/14

    • If billing is showing as next month, you've gotten a 1 month free subscription. Cancel later this week, after you've downloaded the book you want to listen to. The subscription will stay active for the month, then end.

      • Really? It said showed 3 months when I signed up. Guess I'll have to ask CS

Your next bill date is: 03-14-2023
or at the end of your free trial, if any.

        • To update: CS confirmed it was 3 months free despite my next bill date being 1 month out.

My bill date has come and gone and I can see that I was not charged. The receipt shows the applied discount.

  • amazon has sent me this offer a few times, whenever I go to sign up, the offer disappears and amazon tries to charge me. the amazon prime experience gets worse and worse.

  • Hmm. So far I am Not Thrilled with the “Included” Choices in the Plus Catalog. It’s similar to Libby - LibriVox for me.
. . Looks like Podcasts have been taken to new levels, with great actors like Ethan Hawke and great writers like James Ellroy but . . whatever. Meh. 😐

  • Thank You DoC. HaHa! ☺️ I don’t know where to start. A thriller? Motivational, Biblical stuff? Self-Hypnosis for Exercise or a Procrastination? American History? A Classic? This is such a Golden Age for books! Yasss
(We’ll see how this works, and if there are good choices.)

  • Not working for me. Showing full $15 price tag.
Data point - My last PAID subscription was cancelled (by me) few days ago.

    • Same here, not working for me.

My last paid sub was cancelled about a couple of months ago. So there could be a threshold for eligibility.

      • they actually sent me this offer, so I should be eligible, and I haven't subbed to audible in years, but it still tries to charge me.

  • Worked for me. I haven't done one of these audible trials in a while. The weird thing is, while I see the $14.95 credit in the order details, I don't see any explicit mention of the trial expiring in 3 months. In audible membership details, it says: "Your next bill date is: 07-28-2022 or at the end of your free trial, if any." Not sureI trust them to not bill me after a month.

    • I got the same thing. Deal worked and says I have 1 credit my next billing date is 8/12/22 or end of free trial but nowhere do I see length of the trial.
