  • Amazon Prime members are being offered 10¢ Off Per Gallon at BP, Amoco or AMPM when you link your account to Earnify.

Our Verdict

No good if these gas stations are more expensive in your area, but might be useful for some readers. Not sure if this stacks with Upside or not.

  • Do ARCO gas stations allow phone number to be entered - so that I can use ARCO Gift Cards for payment and take advantage of this promotion?

My local ARCO station didn't allow. So, just checking if that's universal.

  • The few BP stations in my area have some of the highest gas prices, so this can’t compete with either Costco gas pricing or (on occasion) Exxon/Mobi’s .10 cents discount via Walmart+ which at times works out to be cheaper than Costco.

Since using the Walmart+ discount is done through the Walmart app (and whatever credit card you’ve set up there) I haven’t checked if this bills as gas (for CC points / discounts on that spend category).

  • I used the earnify app for the first time and it didn't give me any discount when using my BP credit card. It gave me the credit price, I miss the BPme app.

  • Arco has their own rewards app (Marathon Rewards) so not sure if Earnify would work with it. But would be great if it did.

  • is it 10 cents for 1 fill up only or every fillup as long as you're a prime member?

Their gas is def more expensive, and tmobile users are getting 15-20c over at shell.

    • Every fill up.

Costco is a whole dollar cheaper in my area, for anyone who is a member this is a nothingburger.

  • 10 cents back is a much higher percentage in states with $2-$3 gas but doesn't move the needle in states with $4-$5 gas unless you drive a lot more than an average person. It should be 3% back to make it worth the effort to go to one of the participating stations.

  • As far as I know, there aren’t any BP or Amoco gas stations anywhere in the west coast. Arco is the (licensed) brand here for BP-owned gas stations. I think there are AMPM convenience stores at Arco gas stations, but I don’t know of any AMPM gas stations here.

    • I think those count. I signed up (in the SF Bay Area) and on the app I see "AMPM" gas stations listed on the map where my Arco stations are

  • This is really just a $0.05/gallon benefit. Just being a member of BP gets you $0.05/gallon. After you link your Amazon Prime account, you'll be given an additional $0.05/gallon making the "10 cents" they claim in the ad.

@2 and @6, this should stack with Upside so long as it shows as BP#xxxxx (and not something like Earnify, TBD, haven't tried yet...maybe this weekend). I've been using BP gas for a long time now paying via the app. Upside now only does credit card tracking (no more receipts), so as long as the charge shows as BP#xxxxxx, it'll track.

  • DATA POINT - I've successfully stacked Earnify with Upside many times over the last year. The downside though Earnify doesn't accept PayPal so you can't stack it with the 5x on the Freedom Flex this quarter.
