Update: Not sure if the deal ever went away, but a reader reminded me of this for those making Amazon purchases might be of use. I wish they would give us another design or two.
Looks like you can do the deal once per day per gift card amount. Because of this it might make sense to just wait and do one $100 card per day rather than $100/$150/$200 cards at once if you want to stock up. Really is a shame we can’t get different designs, but maybe good for a stocking filler. Hat tip to Lantean.

Our Verdict
Similar to the Grund bear offers they often have. I really like Happy Socks products, I have some socks and they are comfy and colorful. I think these basic designs usually sell for about $11, but they frequently have big sales for like 50% off (yes I know that’s a lot for socks. I usually get mine as gifts and I like the funky patterns). You might as well get some free socks if you’re going to spend money at Amazon anyway, you can still use Amazon gift cards to purchase third party gift cards as well so no issue there. Just make sure you have a credit card that earns at a high rate on Amazon purchases, otherwise it might make more sense to use a credit card that earns at a high rate on another category and purchase Amazon gift cards from one of those stores (e.g if you have 5x on office supply stores, then purchasing Amazon at Staples would make more sense if you don’t have a good Amazon earning card). For what it’s worth I’ll be a buyer at $100 and I suspect those will sell out at some stage as that’s what usually happens with the Gund bears. If I could choose different patterns I’d probably buy at $150 & $200 as well, but since I can’t I won’t double up.

There is an option to choose your own denomination - has anyone tried purchasing a gift card for less than $100?
Never mind - just tried it and it doesn't let you.
This will stack nicely with the amex 500 spend on amazon offer
edit: posted in wrong thread
I can get a pair of socks + 2% cash back on my everyday card, or I can get 5%+ back using an Ink Cash at an office supply store... these might be good socks but I think I'd rather get the extra 3+ dollars.
Yeah like I said it's really just useful for people with a 5% card at Amazon. I'd personally take the socks over the $3 but depends on your sock tastes
@will You can still get a free Gund Bear if you want to purchase a $2,000 g/c

Yeah... and then they'll freeze your account for having a $2000 GC balance. At least you get a cute bear out of the deal!!🙄 John 3:16
Interesting
BTW, the limit seems to reset per day... I just ordered my second $100 card... so free socks every day!
Thanks! Got one even when I already got $900 in amazon GC balance due to all these eBay promo! Trying to liquid it by buying restaurant gift card and using them. Its too bad I'm not much of an amazon buyer these day.
What eBay promo?
Thanks.
The 15%-20% off ones, some people sell Amazon GC in a non gift card category so you can apply the promo code. It's risky though
Where do you see the size selection?
There is no size selection, those are all the same sizes but in different measurements.
Is it only that sock design?
Unfortunately, yes.
Does Amazon send L3 data to Amex?
I need to meet min spend on a card but I am worried this will show as a gift card purchase.
Thank you.
AFAIK no
Excellent, thanks!
