[Expired] American Airlines Now Offering Voucher For Seat Fee Refunds (Temporary)

American Airlines has made a change to the seat fee refund policy. On all flights booked by June 30th for travel through September 30th, 2020 you can now request a voucher for the value of the non refundable seat if you cancel your trip. Previously you could only get a refund if you cancelled within 24 hours, upgraded to a premium cabin or if the airline rebooked you and couldn’t get a comparable seat. I’d strongly advise against trying to game this, the less that is said about that the better.
