The Offer

Direct link to offer (requires sign in)

It’s been possible for most people to get 100,000 MR points after $10,000 in spend on the American Express business platinum, simply by calling in. Some people have eve been targeted for a 150,000 point offer. We also told you how to get a 75,000 point offer after $15,000 in spend.

This offer is similar to the American Express enhanced business gold 75,000 point offer which requires you to sign in to see if you’re eligible. If you’re not eligible it’ll say “our systems are down” calling in won’t help.

The Fine Print

  • Application must be received by June 30th, 2015
  • Annual fee on this card is $450

Our Verdict

Most people will find that the 100,000 offer after $10,000 in spend is better, but if you’re unable to reach that minimum spend requirement then this might be worth considering as well. Keep in mind that it’s possible to get American Express business bonuses more than once.

  • I have a hard time seeing why these platinum 75k-100k offers are promoted as the best thing since sliced bread when they come out. You can get the 25k version fee free, so you are essentially paying $500 for 50-75k points, when you could get them for free via the amex gold. Sure its 2 hard pulls instead of 1, but is saving a hard pull really worth $500? I think not.

      • I meant, if you get the amex gold, you can get 50-75k points with annual fee waived the first year. So with the 25k platinum fee free, and the gold fee free, you essentailly have all the benefits of this card your promoting, minus the $500 fee (for a cost of 1 extra hard pull)

        • I understand what you meant, but you could also get the amex gold and the amex platinum for 175k points.

  • I'm tempted to get it; but I just opened a Prestige card and don't see the justification for the $450 fee for this card right now. Maybe if I cancel my Prestige in the future.

The only benefits I can see is 1)sign up bonus 2)Centurion lounge 3)$200 flight credit 4)10 free gogo in flight wifi passes

Anyone who has both Amex Platinum and Prestige think of other reasons I should consider signing up?

Also, do you have to own a small business to apply?

    • Yep, i just got the Prestige too, so i'm thinking i need to hold off on this one. 100k MR sounds great, i just don't think they are approving it when you call in. I've had no success so far.

    • You'd be able to get two $200 flight credits, there is also the new 30% pay with points rebate which could be useful if you need to make paid flights with MR points. I'd go after the 100,000 point offer first though.
