The American Express Business Platinum card has added a new $200 benefit – get $50 credit per quarter at Hilton properties. The benefit requires enrollment.
Nice to see a new benefit added, one similar to what we have on the Hilton Surpass personal card. In the past, buying a $50 gift card online (with a $1.95 shipping fee) or a $50 gift card at Hilton location (if they carry it at the front desk) has worked to trigger the $50 credit.
(When you eventually use the gift card, remember to tell the front desk to run it for $50 as a credit card, not a gift card. Otherwise it causes hold issues.)
Note: we only have a couple of weeks left before the first $50 benefit expires on December 31st.
Get up to $200 in statement credits per calendar year (up to $50 per quarter) when you enroll in the $200 Hilton Statement Credit Benefit with your Business Platinum Card through American Express. Purchases must be made directly with a property in the Hilton portfolio on your Business Platinum Card. Hilton for Business membership is required. If your business does not already have a Hilton for Business account, you will be registered for one at the time you enroll in the benefit. Hilton for Business offers additional travel value such as access to discounted rates, travel management tools, and loyalty benefits. How it Works
Basic Business Platinum Card Members are eligible to receive the $200 Statement Credit Benefit. Basic Card Member must have a valid Hilton Honors account and must be registered in the Hilton for Business program to be eligible. For questions on Hilton Honors, including on how to register for the Hilton Honors program, please contact Hilton at 1-800-4HONORS (800-446-6677) or go to https //www hilton com/en/hilton-honors/join/ to enroll. If Card Members are not already registered in the Hilton for Business program, they will be registered in the Hilton for Business program when they enroll in the $200 Statement Credit Benefit. If a Card Member already has an existing Hilton for Business Account tied to the Hilton Honors number entered, they will be enrolled in the $200 Statement Credit Benefit only.To enroll in the $200 Statement Credit Benefit, the Basic Card Member must enter their existing Hilton Honors number and select “enroll now”. In order to successfully complete your registration, your full name, email address, or phone number must match on both your American Express Card Account and Hilton Honors Account.Enrollment is not effective until the customer has received an email or letter from American Express confirming enrollment; any Hilton purchases prior to receipt of that confirmation will not qualify for the benefit. If you believe you’ve enrolled but haven’t received an email or letter, please call the number on the back of your Card.Card Members who are registered for the Hilton for Business program through the $200 Statement Credit Benefit enrollment process will receive an email from Hilton welcoming them to the Hilton for Business program that includes program details and a link to complete their Hilton for Business account profile.Once enrolled, the Card Account can receive up to $200 in statement credits per calendar year (up to $50 quarterly) for eligible purchases charged directly with Hilton.Eligible purchases by both the enrolled Basic Card Member and Employee Card Members on the enrolled Card Account are eligible for statement credit. However, each Card Account is only eligible for up to $50 in statement credits per quarter for a total of up to $200 per calendar year across all Cards on the enrolled Card Account.Statement credits are typically received within a few days but may take up to 8-12 weeks after a booking has been paid.

Did anyone uncover other ways to buy GCs or use the credit other than https://www.buyhiltongiftcards.com/ which probably won't have GCs in time before the end of this quarter?
Wondering whether this credit can be used at a hotel restaurant?
From the buyhiltongiftcards.com site which no longer has links to buy gift cards says: "Dear Hilton Gift Card Purchasing Consumer - due to an unforeseen inventory shortage of Hilton Gift Cards, RPG has been instructed to temporarily suspend the sales of Hilton gift cards until card inventory is replenished, by the Hilton Program Management Team. We are expecting replenished inventory to be available within the next eight weeks. RPG, along with the Hilton Gift Card Management Team, apologizes for this unexpected delay, and appreciates your understanding as we work closely with all relevant parties to resolve this shortage as expediently as possible."
So another one bites the dust? I am curious how one runs out of gift cards since I assume they are the direct seller (this isnt like BBY or Amazon running out of third party GCs). Or is this a ploy?
I think when they start selling them again we will find it will no longer trigger the credit.
Lol, the Hilton RPG site says they are out of stock unexpectedly and hope to have stock again in about 8 weeks - hopefully in time for the next quarterly credit but who knows.
This might be a dumb question but has anyone received their gift cards yet? I ordered about a day or two after it went live and we started getting DPs but I am yet to receive the GC. I have received the credits though. I know they are/were backlogged but did they start shipping them out? Thanks
Just got mines today (Jan 7), so it took 17 days to arrive after shipment notification.
I ordered mines on Dec 21 and got notification that it shipped on Dec 23 but still haven't received it yet.
Yes I got mine around Christmas. I ordered around the same time as you.
So it’s Dec 31 — if I buy today will it charge the card TODAY? And post today? Count for Q4 2024?
Hilton GC shipped quickly even though the site noted stock limitations, credit posted to Bus Plat just a few days later.
Biz Plat #1: Booked prepaid rate Hilton on 12/22, got email today saying $50 Hilton credit earned and posted to account (hasn't actually posted yet)
Biz Plat #2: Bought Hilton GC on 12/22. Even though page said they were out of stock and it could be 1-2 weeks, got an email saying card shipped yesterday. Got email today saying $50 credit earned and posted to account (hasn't posted yet either)
Update: Credits now posted. Thanks DoC!
The Hilton gift card site has a header saying they're out of inventory and should restock in a couple of weeks. For anyone that's ordered in the past, will they charge the card upon order, or upon shipping? I'd like to squeeze a card in before the end of the year.
I believe they had that message up when P1 ordered, and the charge went through immediately.
Nice. Thanks!
Enrolled 2 Biz Plat cards online, got the verification email a minute later for each one. I know I'm doing it wrong, but I just booked a Hilton using the card. :)
