American Express Business Platinum Spend Offers (Amex Offer)

The Offer

Lots of people are seeing in their AmEx Offers a spend offer on their Business Platinum cards. Here are some sample offers:

  • Get 6,000 bonus membership Rewards points when you spend $24,000. Offer can be done three times.
  • Get 7,500 bonus membership Rewards points when you spend $28,500. Offer can be done three times.
  • Get 4,000 bonus membership Rewards points when you spend $14,500. Offer can be done three times.

Our Verdict

The card earns 1.5x Membership Rewards points on purchases of $5,000 or higher and 1x on lower spend amounts. This Amex Offer can spruce up the returns a bit. This might make sense to use on a large tax payment, for example.

  • I got 5500 MR when spending $10,500, up to 3x on Biz Plat. So, spend $10k, get 50 bucks worth of points. Seems like a waste of effort.

    Also seeing spend $2000, get 3500 Hilton points, up to 3x. on a no-fee Hilton card.

  • There are some personal cards with spend offers too. I have a spend offer on my BCP, $35 after $3500. (up to 3x within 90 days). At least that's 1%.. My wife has something ridiculous on her EDP like 1500 points after spending $9500..

  • I got 13.5k points for spending $9k in 90 days. I'm working on a retention offer of 35k points for 5k/spend which I plan to meet w/5x $2k/5k AU offers, gladly take this extra!

  • Spend $15,000+, get 4,000 Membership Rewards® points, up to 3 times

    Membership Rewards® Bonus Points Offer

  • I've got this on a Blue Business Plus as well (4,500 points for $18,000 spend, up to 3x). Important fine print is that you have 90 days from adding the offer to redeem it, the date shown (1/1/2024) is when you must *add* the offer by. Also note this offer did not show up when I filtered by 'New', had to scroll the full list of offers to see it.

    "Get 4,500 additional Membership Rewards® points by using your enrolled eligible Business Card to spend a minimum of $18,000+ in one or more qualifying purchases. Once you add the offer to your eligible card, you will have 90 days to spend $18,000+ or more. See terms."
