Direct link to offer

  • American Express will have early access F1 Las Vegas tickets. Tickets go on sale Nov 1, 2022 1:00 pm EST and start at $500 per ticket.

The Fine Print

  • Tickets sold as 3-day passes only. No single day passes
  • All-inclusive food and non-alcoholic beverages. (unclear if it’s all day or just for a couple of hours)
  • Limit of eight (8) tickets per customer.
  • All inventory is first come first served and subject to availability.

Our Verdict

Can be difficult to get tickets so this might be useful for some. Unclear how the ticket packages with food and beverages will actually work.

  • Congrats to anyone that got tickets at reasonable prices.

Otherwise, this thing looks like a f___ you from Amex designed to drive their customers to Ticketmaster and scalped tickets.

We’ll never know, but I suspect Amex gets a cut for driving customers to Ticketmaster.

Not a good look for Amex.

    • Literally impossible to buy any, even the $2k ones. Every one says "Sorry! Another fan beat you to these tickets, so they're no longer available."

Probably not worth the risk anyway at that price given the uncertainty around resale ability. Event info says "Tickets will be available for adding to your wallet, transferring or placing for re-sale on the TM+ platform once delivered." But ticket page says "These tickets are non-transferable."

    • that was terrible, in the waiting room prior to queue opening up and no SR tickets available when I got through.

  • I have the chance to buy at the amex date (11/1) and the presale date (11/3). Might actually be going but could buy, hold, and resell a set of Tix. Never done it before. Does anyone know of resell restrictions and/or strategy?

  • 3 days would be a lot - I assume with no single day passes it wouldn't be possible to resale a day or two?

    • From what I understand, there are no single day passes. No way to give it to another person for a day.

  • Tickets start at $500, General Admission, cheaper Grandstand is $2k and the Pitlane Grandstand will be $2500 apparently

    • I resold my Miami f1 tix right thru the ticket master app. That’s how you hold the tix…you offer them up at a price and tickmaster handles the rest.

  • To allow for more Card Members to enjoy the show, American Express has set a two-order limit for this offer. This limit applies across all Cards associated with all of your American Express accounts. Prepaid Cards are not eligible.

  • Keep in mind this event is a whole year away, but there should be definite resale value here. The Miami race this year had huge resale markups, there were 400k+ people at the race in Austin last weekend, and the Vegas race is more hotly anticipated than either of those as an international event.
