American Express has a program called #AmExAppreciates and every now and then they send out gift cards to Platinum cardholders thanking them for being a cardholder. It looks like another round of these gift cards have been sent out, this time $100 cards to Rastelli’s.
There doesn’t seem to be any specific way that American Express targets cardholders (e.g. it’s not based on spend as some people have reported receiving a gift card with lots of spend on the card and others have reported receiving one with no spend at all).

@will Looks like these are back for the holidays? I got a $250 gift card to John Hardy jewelry (no minimum spend).
LoL
Never got a gift card
I got a 100 Dollar Gift Card for Charles Trywitt Apparel yesterday
Considering I'd actually use this one, I doubt I'll get it. Did it come via mail or email?
Landed by regular mail
I got a 100 card for Charles Trywitt Shirts yesterday, not sure which of my cards triggered it...
That’s a decent perk. Like their shop in the Oculus NYC.
Yeah, stores are still closed I think, but its redeemable online
Got one on my Schwab Platinum. Spend ~$20k/year, received a $100 gift card to Charles Tyrwhitt. Haven't seen that mentioned anywhere, so here's a DP.
We will call you, don't call us!
I guess some of us are not appreciated :(
right haha
Amex: We'll send you a gift card, but don't you dare effing buy one.
UNLESS it's one of ours bc we're going to spam you and get you to buy one...but, we still won't give you points for them
I got $100 to Rastelli's (an online butcher). Never ordered from them before but seems like they have nice stuff. I've been an Amex customer for 20 years, got my first plat (Vanilla) ~2.5 years ago, currently hold Schwab and Morgan Stanley Plat. This is the first one of these I've received from Amex.
Is it only for personal platinum? Or is it also for business platinum?
Had it for personal last times, this time was for business
Personal AFAIK
