Offer is available for eligible Card Members with active accounts as of 11/1/2020.
Our Verdict
Same as the Best Buy offer in that it’s only available to Consumer Platinum cardholders and also consumer/business Centurion cardholders. Looks like cardholders are eligible for both offers. This is in addition to the $30 PayPal credit already announced as well. American Express seems desperate to keep cardholders from cancelling and that is great news for cardholder.

Store pickup didn't work for me.
Called and the rep won't budge. He said that ship to store would've qualified me but not store pickup
Nice trickery executed by Amex offers and Home Depot. I applaud to their marketing if it's deliberate
Anyone have this offer still? I haven’t used it yet and it has disappeared from my added offers along with the similar Best Buy offer.
P2 had his go missing just like yours. However, I chatted Amex and they told me that it was still attached.
did this end up being true (you were able to use it?)
Update: it did post.
Just charged it 3 days ago. No statement credit yet, but I did receive the email about redeeming the offer.
Yes, I still have it. Make sure you're checking the same Amex Plat card you added it to (in case you have multiple flavors). I added all these when they first came about, and still have all of the ones I didnt use yet (like Home Depot).
Just got around $100 of stuff from Home Depot. $84 ended up charged as HOMEDEPOT.COM (Atlanta) - those are "ship to home" and $20 as if I purchased it while physically in store (transaction details show THE HOME DEPOT and my local home depot store address) - those are "pick-up in store", not curbside. I expect to get $50 only, not the full $100. Will need to spend another $16 for something "ship to store" or "ship to home", but shipping is not free unless it's $45+, oh well.
I have few purchases in Aug and Sept from Homedepot, dont have anything to buy immediately. Any suggestion how i can avail this offer and make actual purchase later?
Random idea: buy whatever is around $100 and return to Home Depot for store credit.
Does a PayPal transaction with HD count toward the $50?
Never mind. It does say 1 or more
Has anybody tried to double dip and used PayPal to purchase an item from Home Depot.com? I have to buy a push mower and just wondering if there’s an opportunity to get both credits?
Also FYI the $5 off $50 coupon posted here (the online code they send you).

Interesting contradicting terms language:
"Excludes “Scheduled Delivery” shipping and in-store pickup."
"An “eligible transaction” means an online purchase made with a “ship to home” or “ship to store” shipping option only."
"Excludes in-store purchases, purchases made online but picked up curbside or in-store and purchases made online with a “Scheduled Delivery” shipping option."
Am I missing something here? Can you or can you not order ship to store and pick it up?
I think the scheduled delivery means a third party delivery services, similar to Doordash for food.
I had the same questions. I made an online purchase for a grass trimmer for +$50. Delivery to my residence in Hawaii wasn't available for some reason so I had it scheduled for pick up and was charged. 7 days later and still no statement credit received. My Best Buy credit worked just fine so not sure.
Hi Maddy, did you get credit for your pick up? funny thing im also in hawaii, trying to get replace my current grass trimmer. Most options are "pick up in store" as opposed to "ship to store".
Would you mind sharing the billing details on the scheduled charge? Is it Home Depot Atlanta?
I just wanna ask what to buy in home depot.
I just ordered Stand Mixer exactly for $99.99
Was it $99 before tax? and did you just get one $50 credit or both $50 credits?
