Our Verdict
It’s possible to combine this offer with this offer: Buy $300 Or More In Mastercard Giftcards & Receive $20 Staples Giftcard. Let’s take a look at the profitability of combining these offers:
- 2 x $200 gift cards + $6.95 activation fees each: $413.9
- Use a rewards earning credit card that earns at a high rate at office supply stores (5% cash back if you use the SimplyCash business card, which also has a $250 sign up bonus at the moment): $20.695
- Receive a $20 statement credit: $20
- Receive $20 Staples gift card (can sell for 86.5% facevalue): $17.30
- Unload your Mastercard gift cards using a manufactured spending unload method: $400
In total you’d receive $457.995 for an outlay of $413.9 which nets you profit of $44.095. This deal is really worth doing, especially when you combine it with the other offer. The only problem is your limited to one Staples easy rebate, here are some ideas on how to get around this limitation (although even if you get multiple easy rebates, you’ll end up having to use cards that don’t earn at a high rate on office supply stores)

You can stretch this further with multiple Amex cards. They can split transactions at staples, so you basically just need to ask them to put 100 on Amex1, 100 on Amex2, etc, etc, up to 4 Amexes.
odd - amex offers twitter just said that this is already a maxed out offer... doesn't make sense - it just started today.
I guess a lot of people wanted to make use of the double dip.
