[Expired] AmEx Offers: Amazon, Earn 5x Bonus Membership Rewards Points (Up To 2,500 Points)

The Offer

No direct link, check your American Express Membership Rewards cards

  • Activate to get 5x bonus Membership Rewards points per $1 spent on Amazon through 12/26/2021. Max 2,500 bonus points.

Our Verdict

Max it out with $500 in spend. I assume this won’t show on cards with the other 5x Amazon deal, but will show on cards with spend $50+ and get $10 back at Amazon deal.

This is in addition to the points you’d normally earn.

  • I reloaded $500 on my amazon account. Didn't get the congrats email but got the points 5 days later.

  • added the card and made a purchase on amazon 24 hours later...I have not receivbed the typical Amex email that says "Congrats! You redeemed an Amex offer" I've called Amex MR Dept, and they even acknowledges the mistake on your end.

Moral of the storY: check and stay ontop of how much youre rewarded for your purchases.....

  • P2 got it and was able to save it on same Amex EDP that has the current 5x back offer. Does this mean 11x back for the next few days, i.e., until older offer ends? I'll try to find out -- can one trigger these offers with Amazon gift card purchases?

  • Can you please start referring to "Membership Rewards" as "American Express Membership Rewards"? Membership Rewards is such a generic name I can't remember whose program it is.

    • There is no other card that refers to their shit as membership rewards. Each program has their own names for their points. Learn them yourself because anyone who's been in this for any amount of time can see how redundant amex membership rewards is.

  • Don't have it. I haven't gotten a good Amex offer since the Lowe's offer at the beginning of the year.

  • Got it on my vanilla Plat and Biz Plat, would I be able to claim both or only one? They're both tied to the same SSN but on two different Amex logins.

Also got it on P2 EDP.
