Our Verdict
We see these semi-regularly. There are usually promo codes to save on shipping and/or activation fees, let us know what promo codes you see in the comments or any tips for maximizing this this deal.
- Promo code: BUYMORE or AXP1220HP removes the activation fee
- You can also buy the digital gift card version to avoid shipping fees
When you pay for Amex gift cards with an Amex card it’ll count toward a spend requirement but will not earn points, I believe.

Swagbucks deal coming back :(?
"Spend $200 or more, get $10 back" for me.
I couldn't use these anywhere that normally take debit. I had to use it all at Amazon instead of paying for electricity/gas/water etc.
Anyone else have that issue?
Did you try using less than the full amount? When I use it for health insurance there's always a 10 cent pending charge, so if I try to use the full amount if fails. Instead I do 50 cents less than the full amount, then wait a week or so for the 10 cent pending charge to fall off, then use the 50 cents on Amazon (the minimum gift card reload).
Amex gift cards run as credit cards and are subject to credit card fees, unlike VGC/MCGC
Anyone know if using this offer will count to/invalidate Amex SUB? I have it on a recently upgraded BCP (from BC) for P1 and P2s add on card. Hoping 200+200 will count to the 1K spend required for the upgrade offer.
I highly doubt this will count towards the spend requirement when even visa/mastercard gift cards and other cash equivalents don't.
Got 10k MSR i take whatever spending...
What no one talks about while these deals are okay you don’t earn any points from buying these gift cards. You’d be better off using a chase ink at staples with easier liquidation. Hard pass!
Except in the post. They talk about it in the post. But other than that, no one.
I don't have a Chase Ink card.
My offer is $20 for $300 which will be 6.66% if I can find a code to remove the purchase fee.
I link it to my Paypal account and use it to donate to animal sanctuaries.
