Our Verdict

We see similar offers come and go; this round of $750/$50 is from the better we see. I’m seeing this offer on my business cards. There are usually promo codes to save on shipping and/or activation fees, let us know what promo codes you see in the comments or any tips for maximizing this this deal.

When you pay for Amex gift cards with an Amex card it’ll count toward a spend requirement but will not earn points, I believe.

  • Where this card can be used? Paying IRS taxes - failed, paying utility - failed, adding to paypal - failed.

  • Couldn't add the card to Samsung Pay. There was a second screen asking for billing address, which I don't recall seeing before, but I could be misremembering.

  • Just another DP.
Bought the gc a few days ago. $20 kicked in. Used it to pay for GA Power and it worked. Got declined for water bill but quite happy with the electricity bill
Was able to add to Apple Pay but havent tested it out

  • Just bought a $750 e-gift card today purchase fee waived. Triggered a fraud alert but quickly resolved. Added to Apple wallet and worked at grocery store checkout.

  • A few DPs:
    1) eGift works in Hawaii for me - I used a relative's physical address. The eGift was emailed over and it cost exactly $300 with the SHOPEARLY24 code. Amex did text (Amex SafeKey) to confirm 6 digits during purchase, be sure to enter that in as part of the checkout process. Used Brilliant card.

    2) eGift was emailed and was able to added to ApplePay all within 5 minutes of purchase. ApplePay worked at longs/CVS (self checkout, $2) and at a local restaurant (handheld reader, $19).

    3) Already bought another one after testing the first one today and loaded it on ApplePay - two separate cards with the same general gift card picture - not the picture selected during the purchase. Be sure to remember which is which, though ApplePay will list recent purchases - no totals or how much of the $300 remaining.

    4) Now to wait for the $20 off for each $300.

    Good luck!

  • DPs:
Bought ONE $300 gc (for $20 kickback) to test it out.

Adding to PayPal - error message
Adding to Google Pay - not allowed by card issuer
Adding to Samsung Pay - not allowed by card issuer
Paying online via PGE (won't allow 2035 expiration)
Paying over phone via PGE (allows 2035 to be entered) - declined
Paying online via ebmud (won't allow 2035 expiration)
Paying online via Republic Services - WORKED

Will try Amazon, Target, or State Farm for the remaining $9.10 amount.

    Not going to buy anymore.

  • Gambling on one $600 purchase will fulfill the two $20 credits.
Had to do identity verification by calling into AMEX (driver's license and video verification) to unblock purchase.

No email stating offer fulfilled, which is concerning, although verbiage says to wait NINETY DAYS after 12/31/2024 which is ridiculous but will see in the next week........ (Normally it confirms immediately upon making the purchase, with previous deals at other retailers.)

egift card arrived within 5 mins of purchase and worked on HOA bills. Liquidating the last $2 will be tough though.

  • This might seem like NBD, but for someone with a limit of two statement credits, has anyone confirmed whether a single order above the total minimum value (whether $750 x 2 or $300 x 2) will trigger both credits? Or would I need to make two separate purchases? Again, I understand that it seems like a minor detail to simply initiate a second purchase, but I am not just curious but have a reason for wondering.

  • My property tax rejected the card because it had a December 2034 expiration and said it had to be within 10 years of today.

    • My Biz eGC came with 5/34 exp. I'm getting declined for my state property tax, but it looks like the property tax site is trying to process it as it's actually showing decline on the amex GC site.
