Our Verdict

We see similar offers come and go; this round of $750/$50 is from the better we see. I’m seeing this offer on my business cards. There are usually promo codes to save on shipping and/or activation fees, let us know what promo codes you see in the comments or any tips for maximizing this this deal.

When you pay for Amex gift cards with an Amex card it’ll count toward a spend requirement but will not earn points, I believe.

  • "EPIC24" promo code gives 100% Off Purchase Fees on Orders $150+ and Free Expedited Shipping on Physical Gift Cards (exp Dec 13th)

    Order Summary
    Card Value $600.00
    Purchase Fee(s) $6.95
    Promo code -$17.90
    Shipping $10.95
    Order Total $600.00

$40/$600 = 6.67% discount -- not sure if I want to deal with Amex GC headache for that

  • Well we are now past the 10 year limit on my 12/2034 expiration card but property tax failed and California state income tax failed (it shows that it tried to authorize but was declined). Also, paying for my safe deposit box insurance failed as well.

  • Card works well in Apple Wallet. I also like how the emailed link to access the card opens so seamlessly- I’m hoping the URL is still long and secure enough to not have fraud issues.

Like others, I am also running into issues with the expiration date of 2035 being too far past what biller’s systems accept.

Large national water company– only supports up to 2034. The “feedback” feature of the water company’s site which offered a contact within 4 days has not followed through, twice.

Small local ISP– supports up to 2032. Waiting to see if they can update their system.

  • DP: Bought a $1500 GC, and $100 credit posted 3 days later. Now I need to figure out how to actually spend the GC...

  • Where this card can be used? Paying IRS taxes - failed, paying utility - failed, adding to paypal - failed.

    • IRS taxes doesn't fail. This is one of the best deals out there. AMEX giving everybody $100 off their taxes.

    • My DPs:
      Medicare.gov payment works.
      State Farm payment works.
Apple Pay works... bought fireworks and got a haircut. :)

  • Couldn't add the card to Samsung Pay. There was a second screen asking for billing address, which I don't recall seeing before, but I could be misremembering.

  • Just another DP.
Bought the gc a few days ago. $20 kicked in. Used it to pay for GA Power and it worked. Got declined for water bill but quite happy with the electricity bill
Was able to add to Apple Pay but havent tested it out

  • Just bought a $750 e-gift card today purchase fee waived. Triggered a fraud alert but quickly resolved. Added to Apple wallet and worked at grocery store checkout.
