  • Opened a dispute with Amex and complaint with CFPB. It’s been two weeks and now I can’t even access the card. Not sure when or if I am getting a refund but saw on Reddit that people got a check after filing with CFPB or disputing with Amex credit card.

  • I ignored all the warnings about it being unusable virtually anywhere. Instant regret.

    • Any plans to liquidate? I am trying to dispute with Amex themselves lol but they will probably deny it.

  • Did anyone get into the situation where the email says you received the card but when i click on view and print, it leads to check balance page?I am unable to access my card

  • Even though I was able to successfully add the card to Apple Pay, payment to SoCal Edison via Apple Pay was still declined. Paying with the card directly, of course, also did not work.

    Works with my county's property tax payment; however, they only accept cards expiring within the next 10 years and it appears AMEX randomly issues expiration dates between 2033 - 2035.

  • Just bought one for $750 to try to pay taxes on payusataxes.

    When I try and put the gift card, the expiration date is 2035 but the available options to input on the website is only up to 2034.

    What am i supposed to do?

  • I purchased an e-gift card worth $325 and used a portion of the amount. However, I am encountering an error on the Amex gift card portal while checking the balance. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

    • Incognito, disable all adblockers, click on original email link.
      All 3 steps are needed for me.

    • Click on the link in the email as opposed to checking the balance manually, which never works for some reason.

  • bought the e-gift card for $325 with WELCOME promo code to zero out the fees... Immediately paid off CA state estimated taxes through ACI Payments and it went through (as credit card payment with 2.3% fee)
