The Offer
There are two new AmEx Offers for BP/Amoco Gas:
- Get a one-time $10 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to spend a minimum of $20 in one or more purchases of fuel at BP or Amoco using the BPme mobile app by 5/1/2022. See terms for exclusions.
- Get 5 additional Membership Rewards points for each dollar spent by using your enrolled eligible Card to make standalone purchases at a BP or Amoco station by 5/1/2022. Offer valid only at BP’s premium grade fuel, Amoco Ultimate® with Invigorate®, made at the pump or via the BPme app. See terms for exclusions.
Our Verdict
The 5x points offer can be found on Membership Rewards-earning cards, and is valid even without using the BP app. The $10 off $20 offer requires the app. The app offers are a pain, could be worth it for the $10 discount.

Not available to my wife or me, but we have both previously redeemed the same offer on out Amex Blue Preferred cards. That being said, I added authorized user cards for each of our four children (with their permission) and it's available (and now added to) all four of those cards. Nice, thanks!
I can just add each of those cards to the BP app on four consecutive fillups to redeem – that's how my wife and I did it. No need for separate app accounts, just rotate through the cards.
Found it buried under a pile of worthless boutique offers and wine subscriptions. Thanks DoC, don't know what I'd do without ya.

This is a good deal if you have it, the BP app sometimes also offers a discount per gallon. The premium octane is decent.
I don't see where you have to buy premium gas on the Get $10 off $20 With App offer. Is that a thing?

The 5x bonus only works on their premium gas. Probably not worth the 5% cashback if you're overpaying for regular if your car can take regular.
Also, I did the new BP app promo a while back to get the 50c offer. I thought I had until end of year to use it but the dang thing is gone. Bunch of bologna.
