Our Verdict
Nice deal here. There’s a separate AmEx Offer for using the card directly with Delta at $350/$100; that offer isn’t working anymore on gift card purchases, so it’s nice to have this one that’s explicitly for gift cards.

Got on Amex gold, green, and everyday preferred.
Presumably doesn't code as DL / Airline for 5x Plat since it's cashstar?

To add to this, does anyone know if a physical GC codes differently?
Just a note, Delta gift cards can only be used for the flight itself and nothing else (no baggage fees, etc.)
No offer for me anywhere. Maybe I need to stop spending money on Delta airlines.
I've spent a ton on Delta this year and got it. I think it has to do with your location near a Delta focus city maybe?
