The Offer
There’s a targeted offer showing in some Amex logins:
- Get a $5 statement credit each time you use your enrolled Card to make a single purchase of $5 or more using Android Pay on your Android device.
- Limit of 3 statement credits; total of $15 in credits.
The Fine Print
- Valid through May 3, 2017
- Must spend $5 or more in a single transaction to get the credit
- Valid for store purchases and app purchases
- Only US issued American Express Cards are eligible; corporate Cards and all prepaid card products are not eligible for this offer
Our Verdict
These kind of offers are very generous since it’s just straight-out free $15 for Android Pay users to be used anywhere. No beans for iOS adherents, unfortunately. Amex probably won’t target someone who they know to use iPhone.
Obviously, Android Pay works to trigger Amex Offers, else this kind of offer wouldn’t be possible. Check out these 14 things to know about Amex Offer deals.

Is there any limit on how many cards you can add into one device? For me, it stopped at the 9th card, no matter what I try, even with a different account.
YOU HAVE TO HAVE THIS OFFER under amex offers when you login to you account correct? So I can login from a pc to see if the offer is on my account?????
or do I "Download the Android Pay app from Google Play and add your American Express® Card by taking a picture of it." and then check if the offer is on my card????
It is not on ANY of my or my authorized users blue or hilton honors. Any way to get this offer added?
Had this on all 6 of my personal cards.
First went to Best Buy, disappointed they don't sell Amazon gift cards I settled on a Exxon/Mobil card. Cashier said he thought I could split 5 ways so I did $25 split 5 ways. Seemed to work fine.
Next went to Rite Aid and found an Amazon gift card. Asked the cashier how many times I could split it and was told no limit. Store was empty so I successfully bought $65 split 13 ways to use up all the rest of my offers!
Is there a maximum amount of cards that can be added to Android pay?
Office depot was able to split Android Pay 8 times!
The easiest by far.
Awesome!
The Swych app sells a bunch of gift cards and accepts Android Pay. Some stores such as Amazon have a $10 minimum, but others such as Chipotle have a $5 minimum.
I think it is $10 minimum all around. You can also only pay with Android Pay once a day. The "day" is based on GMT time, so if you buy one now and another after 8 PM EDT (12:00PM GMT) and it will count against your next day. Also Android Pay doesn't seem to be avaiable in the early morning, as if they are doing maintenance.
If you never used Swych, you can get $5 credit for your first purchase through my link: [link removed, please don't add referral links unless it's specifically allowed]. Thanks.
It won't allow me to buy more than one gift card. Informed me I can only buy with android pay once per day. Wondering if this is an account restriction or just a blanket policy for everyone. Seeing as how I have at least 8 cards that's 24 consecutive days to redeem them if this is true.
Never mind - it seems like it'll let you add a $5 gift card to your cart but there's a $10 minimum for Chipotle.
I suspect it's a $10 minimum for all stores
succeeded in
1. sending a dunkin donuts $5 egc to myself
2. purchasing $5+(with freeshipping) items in newegg app
unfortunately, I failed to add a new credit card after adding 2
Offer worked on a Chick Fil A app reload. Unfortunately, the minimum reload is $10.
I can't add a couple of AU cards to Android Pay... A third AU card works fine and primary card works fine... Any ideas?
Did you try adding a bunch in succession? I think that's what's tripping me up at the moment. I can't even add some of my primary cards after having added 2 primaries and one AU card. I'm giong to try agai tomorrow.
Yes, this might be it... I will try again today.
I ended up having to call Amex. They cleared the flags on my account and I was able to add all my cards.
0/4. Dang. Maybe next time.
