Our Verdict
I’m not seeing this offer on my cards, just the free month offer that came out a few weeks ago, but this is being reported on r/churning. I’ve found Walmart+ to be very useful since getting it for free from Swagbucks about a year ago; I’d probably pay half-price for an annual membership.
If you have a Platinum card you already get free membership. If not this is a useful offer.

This should be stackable with $20 referall credit. Can we share referral links?
You can create an alt account with free trial, then refer yourself.

Expires today (if you have not already used it)....just a heads up. I am still on the fence....no stacks means this is what it is: $49+ tax.
If this is anything like the Samsclub Amex offer, be prepared for a long wait and uncertainty.
Amex's Sam's Club offer taking forever isn't new, has always been an issue over the years. I've waited 4 months once. For this, I would look to whether the 12.95 Walmart+ offer was coding and crediting correctly.
I have Walmart+ through 12/24. It's not worth $98, but tempted at half that. Walmart has the lowest prices on a lot of items and not having to actually step into a Walmart is worth a bit. It's been pretty reliable for me, half my items being delivered via DoorDash the same day.
Nice...
already saved offer, Spend $12.95+ by 12/31/21 get 1,500 Membership Rewards® pts.
and now I see this one too, might prompt me to actually sign up.
Is there another option other than $12.95 monthly or $98 annually? the wording sounds like 50% on annual membership could be less/more than $49.
Thanks!
My current membership Auto Renews in February and I have many Walmart gift cards linked to my account.
This offer expires in the beginning of January. Is there any way I can pay for this in December end/ January without creating a separate account?
I have an active annual subscription too. I didn't see a way to activate this.
I tried to cancel and rejoin to see if I can buy another year but it just continues with the existing subscription renewal date.
Seems like we need to create new Walmart account - I'll try to use my Walmart Gift cards already in my wallet before my subscription expires
And another Amex Plat benefit bites the dust.. and other does and other does... Really it's a cash grab guys. FU AMEX. FU!!!!!
What are you ranting about ?
He is unhappy that other card members are getting off on Walmart membership lol.
It's interesting that this offer is via AmEx, who markets the Walmart+ credit on the Platinum card as being worth around $156 a year, doled out at $13/month. This offer suggests the real value is actually closer to $49/year.
I dont think that just because something is discounted, the discounted rate is now the real value (we can have a separate discussion about the true value of W+)
As an Amex Platinum card holder, despite TPG valuing the Plats annual Walmart+ benefits l at $395 (parody), but personally I value it at $0.99 +/- the same as I value the Equinox benefit, and similar coupons available to Plats..
$0.99? That's high. I choose to value them at $0 since I would never normally pay for some of those services on my own. Those have reduced my annual spending by $0.
Any stacking opps? I researched earlier, couldn’t find any.
Hoping a Dosh offer will show up. Last year had several Dosh offers for Walmart+ around this time. And now that Amex cards can be added to Dosh means it should be stack-able if an offer comes up.
