My wife got AmEx Marriott offer:Spend $250 get $100 statement credit on her personal platinum card. She does not have a marriott card so maybe higher targeted value to those who do not have any AmEx cards with Marriott?
Wondering why this old article is at the top of the feed.
Offer was extended

The luxury brand $200 on $500 offer was also moved to 12/31. Yay!
Yes I was surprised to see my offer initially expiring Dec 15 change to Dec 31 without me doing anything.
I have a business trip, I booked a Marriott hotel through the company portal but I will be paying through an Amex card at the counter. Does anyone know if it will trigger the offer? The charges should come as a Marriott property but not sure if Marriott property will tell Amex that this booking wasn't done through Marriott portal.
I made a reservation with one card and charged on different card at the hotel in order to redeem the Amex offer in the past. So, I don't see any reason why it shouldn't work.
it should work. ive done it multiple times as long as the room and charges is paid for at the hotel you should be fine
Yes agree it should work
Yes it will be post fine
totally misread your question. if your card is swiped at the front desk, that too works.
front desk gift cards work
Should be fine in my experience
Any one have luck finding Marriott gift card? The Marriott hotels I used to be able to buy gift card from are all telling me that they stopped selling gift card starting some time earlier this year.
In California, you can purchase physical gift cards at Irvine Marriott, Santa Clara Marriott. I picked up a few gift cards at these hotels in August this year.
Same here but it is theoretically possible to re-load a gift card if you can find someone who knows how to do it.
Got this:
"Get a one-time $200 statement credit by using your enrolled eligible Card to spend a minimum of $500 USD in one or more purchases on room rate and room charges at The Ritz-Carlton®, St. Regis®, EDITION®, The Luxury Collection®, W Hotels® & JW Marriott® from 9/5/2023 to 12/15/2023."
Does anyone know anywhere where these locations sell/load Marriott gift cards?
Last year I bought them at the counter of a ritz
Beware. Failed DP. In November 2023. Bought $500 gift card and did not track. Rep said it HAD to be purchased via an online booking. Cannot be a “walk in” charge
Where did you buy it? I have purchased them at the front desk and this strategy has always worked. I wonder if you purchased your GC at the spa or at some restaurant within the hotel that was operated by some entity other than Marriott.
The Spa worked at a luxury one for me as well.
Those luxury hotels have gift shops inside. They sell gift cards there
Do you know if they sell third party gift cards like Amazon?
PSA: If you book direct with Marriott and use a cash back portal, you can get another 2 - 8% back on top of these promos. Use cashbackmonitor (dot) com to see which one is paying the highest rate since it seems to change daily.
Also, Amex UPS My Choice Premium $10 off $19.99. expires 12/31/23
1 of 2 personal cards
Great offer . Unfortunately, Valid only in US. Like any other Amex hotel offer (99%)
Canada, Mexico, and Caribbean are included
Love these. It's free money in my case. The last two earlier this year worked with a GC from the front desk.
I got both the earlier $200 back on $500 AmEx Offer and now also got the $100 back on $250 offer. Does anyone know how I could stack these two in one go?
Based on the terms, you can't. The $200/$500 works only at the Luxury brands. And the same luxury brands are excluded in $100/$250 offer.
