American Express has announced that the Seattle Centurion Lounge will be closing on Sunday, Jan. 29, at 7 p.m. local time as they transition to the new lounge that will be located mezzanine level of the Central Terminal.
As we get ready to open the new Centurion Lounge at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, the current Centurion Lounge located in Concourse B will close at 7:00 p.m. on January 29 so we can complete the lounge relocation and construction. We look forward to welcoming eligible Card Members to our new lounge on the mezzanine level of the Central Terminal in the coming weeks. Card Members can use the Amex Mobile app or visit www.TheCenturionLounge.com for up-to-date information.

When I was there on Friday, the bartender told me that they were hoping to open in mid February. They need a couple weeks to move, on board new staff (still need more kitchen staff but otherwise mostly hired for the bigger space), with opening around the 15th or so, hopefully. The plan is to expand the hours to the prepandemic 5am-10pm soon. Their lease was due to expire in mid Dec but they were able to get a short extension until the new space was available. United is taking over the current Centurion space eventually.
United? Like, a "United Club" in that small space? (Maybe a United Club Studio...")
The current United Club in the A concourse is not exactly large (around 6000 sq feet). But yes, this will be a downgrade in terms of size (current Centurion space is around 4500 sq feet). United is supposed to move their gates from A to B. Delta has been planning to build a new Sky Club across from gate A11 and reportedly take over some of the A gates United uses. While the new A11 Sky Club has been discussed for several years now, it was not on Delta's list of new/expanded clubs for 2023, so definitely do not count on that one opening anytime soon.
Drat...I am traveling there in April...I really wonder what "in the coming weeks" means to them.
You will be fine. It is mostly complete and much bigger than the old lounge.
that lounge is shit anyways. food is bad compared to vegas lounge, and the wait i see is always 30-1hr. flying delta from seattle has always been good to me on points domestically.
Vegas lounge is on point, thoroughly enjoyed the space and the accommodations.
I'll interpret as "in the coming weeks" as summer 2023 based on their projections on when the new lounge will open. Thankfully, I mostly fly Delta so I can use the SkyClub.
