Our Verdict
There was recently a targeted offer of $25 off $100, that’s just recently expired. The easiest way to cash out this offer is to purchase a $100 Visa gift card on staples.com for $106.95 (That link contains our affiliate link; we appreciate if you use it.) You’d be making $13.05 profit per card + any credit card rewards you earned minus any fees from unloading the Visa gift cards. This won’t last long, so load it quickly – we’ve also tweeted it out to @dochotdeals (find out how to get instant notifications for this).
Staples also offers discounts on other gift cards, for example Gap gift cards are currently 20% off. Here are 14 things to know about Amex Offers.

Since I don't have an amex credit card I splited the payment for a VGC online at staples with a Serve and Bluebird card to get both amex offers triggered. The charge on both went through and are pending. I did receive 2 different emails from amex lettimg me know I have redemmed the amex offers.
I bought a $200 VGC
please help.
bought a VGC on staples.com (giftcardmall/metabank).
"4 digit activation code" is required.
where can i find this code?
thanks!
thank you. i just finished ordering 3 $100 visa gc's using your link. happy thanksgiving.
I got this offer and used it on the Gap branded gift cards. I bought 1 $100 gift card and 1 $25 dollar gift card that came to $100 in total after the 20% off. I received the email from AMEX verifying I claimed the offer but when I checked online the order posted as two translations; one at $80 and one at $20. It has been several days and the offer credit has not posted and I wonder if it is because staples posted it as two translations instead of the one.
I was just curious if anyone ever had this happen and what they did about it? I know the offer can take up to 90 days to post so maybe I will wait a little longer to contact them. Thanks!
I purchased Nordstrom (Electronic) gift card and that triggered the offer. $20 credit posted today.
Did anyone get the $ 20 statement credit when the charge posted to your amex account ?
one of two i received got $20 credit posted. i think it takes 2 to 3 days to post.
I just a $100 Whole Foods gift card and it's pending on my account. Usually I get an email right away from Amex that I've used an offer but I haven't yet. Did you get your email right away?
Did you ever get the $20 back after your Whole Foods gift card purchase?
Not yet, the charge is still pending on my Amex card and still no email that I used the Amex offer...I'll wait until it posts and see what happens.
I purchased VGC, order status was "processing" for 4 days and then it changed to "shipped". Charge posted on the amex card but no statement credit yet.
The orders are stuck in processing for 4 days now... is this normal?
Any portals paying out for e-gc purchases (non-VGC) from Staples?
I wish Hyatt gift cards didn't have issues otherwise I would be loading up with all the latest Amex offers
Is it common knowledge that these offers go away quickly? I had this offer available on 3 cards this morning, not anymore :(
The good ones go in a few days, and the great ones go in a few minutes. It's amazing that it lasted this long.
