The rumors keep coming for the SPG/Marriott merger. Flyertalk user ronaldko posted this image:
That indicates nothing will be changing until August, then the programs will be combined but still under different names. Other people are reading this as starting immediately the programs will combine and then fall under the same name come August. It also mentions 29 brands, but on their website they listed 30 combined brands. The Bulgari logo is missing down the bottom, but Bulgari isn’t really part of Marriott anyway (doesn’t show up on searches or earn Marriott points).

So what's the verdict. I've never had the spg amex, I wanted to wait until the bonus went back to 35k. Should I get it now or wait. Just afraid they'll do a merged program card and I'll lose the opportunity to double dip
Is it fair to say if they move towards dynamic award pricing then the 7 day packages are dead?

all these rumors just raises more questions and concerns. MR needs to stop dicking around and just give us the damn 411 TCs. we gotta know if points need to be dumped or not. none of this BS "surprise! ur screwed!" strategy.
Haha MR's objective is the exact opposite -- they want to screw us, without us dumping points or stopping to use their hotels. Hence all the test leaks to let them figure the max pain we'll tolerate.
