The Fine Print

  • Valid for applications in-store or online.
  • Offer valid between 6/17/18-6/23/18 8/5/18 – 8/11/18.
  • Coupon will be valid through July 31, 2018. September 23rd, 2018
  • The coupon will be mailed to approved cardholders with their REDcard.

Our Verdict

If you’ve been meaning to signup for a REDcard, this would be a nice opportunity. It’ll also help those looking for a new version of REDcard now that the prepaid REDcard version is soon being discontinued. You can get the credit version if you’d like, or save yourself the ding to your credit report and get the debit version.

REDcard doesn’t typically have any sort of signup bonus; people get it just for the 5% off at Target, faster shipping, and longer return window. They do sometimes have small bonuses available via shopping portals for signing up for a REDcard. Currently, I see Swagbucks offering $4 for signing up for a REDcard via their landing page, should stack with the coupon deal. Let us know if you see any other offers like that.

    • Full terms exclude
"Nintendo hardware and Switch games, PS4 hardware, Xbox hardware, Red Dead Redemption II video games."

      So that's a "no."

  • With redbird being imminently closed, I fail to see the benefit in this. I can already use my Altitude reserve with samsung pay and get 4.5% at any Target (or Google pay for the ones that activated their POS).

  • I applied for this card in October 2018. I got the card, but not the offer. So I did not use the red card at all, though I shopped at Target. Should I call Target and ask for the offer ?

  • Hardly seems worth it to me. Credit card bonus of $25 off $100 not a chance. Neither is the debit card version linked to bank account. Didn't Target have a massive security breach not that long ago? I'll pass on everything associated Target because they're a bunch of slackers in the security dept.

  • Applied with Radius Bank routing/account number, they need to verify deposits which should take 1-5 days. Dunno if this is just cause my bank is smaller or if this process is normal but could affect getting the $25 off by 2/2

    • Don't think you have to worry since you applied before 2/2, it also says "The coupon will be mailed to approved cardholders with their REDcard and will be valid through March 24, 2019"
