    I got 2 calls today and 2 texts claiming to be from fraud department at Unify. The message said to respond to the text or voicemail to verify a suspicious transaction on my debit card ending in x1234.

    I went to Unifys website and saw a warning pinned on the front page about scammers:
    "IMPORTANT FRAUD MESSAGING ALERT: Recently, there has been a rise in attempted fraudulent imposter activity through text messaging and phone calls claiming to be from UNIFY. Fraudsters are trying to gain account and identification information. If you did not intend to contact UNIFY, DO NOT provide any information if prompted; always contact UNIFY immediately, 877.254.9328, 24/7, to get our assistance on any suspicious communication."

    I called the phone number they left on my voicemail (scammers number) and it was a computer voice asking for information. First it asked for my zip code, so I put in a fake zipcode. Then it asked for last four digits of my Social Security Number, so I hung up. I called Unify and they verified that my account has NOT been breached.

    Was Unify's database breached? ............ Someone had my phone number and the last four digits of my Debit card.

  • would anyone know what external bank accounts' would meet the deposit reqiorements ?

    • 1. AFAIK, the $125 referral offer is dead, which is why the title of the post says Expired, and even when active, was limited to Arkansas, Missouri, or Oklahoma.

      2. There is a $50 referral offer that is active and basically nationwide. However there isn't a direct deposit requirement, so ANYTHING would work.

      "Referred new members receive $50 for opening a qualifying checking account with a UNIFY Visa® Debit Card (excludes Right Start Checking). $50 bonus is credited to the primary savings account after the first statement cycle of account opening.     11/29/22: Opened in branch and Funded $1K with CC (Citi Custom Cash)

    Was told you can combine the $125 Referral Offer with the $250 Bonus offer(this only works for in branch). Was also told CC funding counted as a cash advance(I believe this is only for in branch as well).

    12/1/22: Bonus $100 Posted "Deposit New Member $100"
    12/1/22: Bonus $50 Posted "Deposit New Check_50"
    12/1/22: Bonus $125 Posted "Deposit Referral50"
    12/1/22: DD using Schwab Brokerage $500

    12/2/22-12/5/22: I did 50 $5.01 transactions. This has not yet triggered the spending bonus.

    As of 12/14/22: have received $325 of the anticipated $375

    A Couple of notes:
    CC funding registered as a cash advance on Citi. However as of 12/14/22 the cash advance fee is still pending so I don't know if it will actually go through as a cash advance.

    Prior to going in branch I tried combining offers online and had no luck.

    In branch they listed AMEX as a CC funding option in addition to VISA, MC and Discover available online.

    TLDR: Easy bonus, can combine for a total of $375 if you go in branch.

    HEY here is a great Unify FCU DP:
    (Note: I live in Benton County, AR actually 1mi from branch- country is included in 250 bonus)

    Anyway, i decided rather than do it online, i would go to have a face to face with a representative to open the account.
    She verbally verified:
    1. ChxSystems - yes
    2. Possible to stack both the bonuses *250 sign up and 125 referral. * ; and she did.
    3. While signing upright before the new cycle, the woman told me that my promos would credit up to 90 days with good account history etc. Not what happened.

    04/30/22 signed up at 5pm in branch, basic as it gets: Free Checking: 25 eSavings: 5 / Opening deposit $30 total
    04/30/22 Printed me a temp card, with my name. No chip. Worked on everything except adding to P2P transfer apps.
    05/01/22 Notification $125 added to my esavings (2:00PM)
    05/01/22 Notification $150 added to my checking (2:10PM)
    05/01/22 (2:30PM) zelle transferred 300 - instantly applied, pushed to ONJUNO for the fuck of it to see if it triggers

    This CU in my opinion is the best CU I have signed up for. Ill be keeping this one. The features are unbelievably useful, you dont see thter majority of them on any of the smaller CUs defno online banks. On top of everything above, while chatting with the manager, she informed me:

    Unify after 60 days offers a no credit check, no check at all emergency loan of $500, solely based off of your account history, not quite sure the qualifications.

    They're adding an investment portion to the app (so she said, validity im not sure) when they expand their crypto section, and that it integrates with Fidelity.
