The Offer
- Audible is offering a $5 reward when you listen to 20 minutes a day from 1/17 – 1/31
Our Verdict
Should be fairly easy to meet the requirements, just have to remember to actually do it each day.

What can you do with the $5 reward? Sorry, new to Audible. thanks
what is the cash value of the $5 in rewards?
$5
Eh, for five days it's not so bad. Originally I thought it was 1/17-1/31 everyday. I'm sure no one doesn't have time for 20 minutes of an audiobook a day, at least if you're well enough off that you're looking at $5000 savings bonus with a deposit of $2 million on doc
I usually listen to non-fiction at 1.3x or 1.4x speed. I wonder if listening to ~15 min at that rate counts as 20 min or if you actually have to make it through nearly 30 min of standard-speed content at that rate.
Be the DP you want to see in life.
The T&C state that the reward would not be sent until "on or about February 15, 2023," which is more than 2 weeks after the promo ends, and there is presently no tracker apparent nor assurance of notification when/if the milestones are accomplished. So the only way to know for certain is after it is too late. I thought perhaps some of the clever readers of DoC might have some insight, as they often do, rather than hackneyed slogans.
For Premium Plus and Silver Plan members only :(
5/(20*5)*60=3
$3 per hour pay, thanks but no thanks
But, tax free $3 per hour.
Let echo dot play audible and set the volume to 0. Should also work on web player.
ehhh, wut?
You don't have to actually listen. Amazon isn't going to be quizzing you, they're just tracking plays.
But I do agree that two weeks of daily audibook content for a mere $5 is a bit silly. Either up the reward or make it a few days instead of weeks.
It is only for any 5 days during that promo period.
Yes, that violates the minimum wage laws … by a long shot.
You can still go about doing your thing. They’re not making you “work”. Will take the same time to play something on audible as it took to post a comment.
They have podcasts in there as well...i listen to podcasts everyday...some of them they have them without ads while the same podcast has ads with google podcasts for example
