Avoiding Fees

Monthly Fees

This account has no monthly fees to worry about.

Early Account Termination Fee

I wasn’t able to find a fee schedule so unsure if there is any EATF.

Our Verdict

Seems like a really easy bonus to meet the requirements for if you’re in an eligible area. Donation method doesn’t seem to work to apply out of state.

  • $319.36 bonus DP
12/22 Opened, AZ Resident. $200 funded on CFU Coded as Purchase
01/17 $1001 Work DD (TYPE: DIRDEP...ACH ECC PPD)
02/14 $1001 Upgrade push: (TYPE: transfer...ACH ECC WEB)
    02/20 $319.36 Bonus posted
Not sure if recurring language is actually enforced, or if the Upgrade push did in fact count as a dd for the second month.

  • Has anyone received 1099-int or 1099-misc from Arizona Financial?

I didn't see 1099-int in my online banking and contacted support, support said they didn't issue 1099-int if interest was below $10 and my interest was below $10. So it looks like they didn't treat the account opening bonus as interest.

However I haven't received 1099-misc online or in mail either. I think the deadline for 1099-int is Jan. 31st, is the deadline for 1099-misc later?

    • @guest_1826658 I have not received a 1099 tax form for either P1 or P2 for the $200 bonus that was paid. I'm unable to log in since the account is closed. I'll call them since there are no other data points in the 2024 1099 discussion.

      • Thanks. Keep me posted on what you find out. I did message the customer service but they said there was no 1099-int for me and they had no idea about 1099-misc.

  • Delayed DP, but I applied OOS (CA) on 9/20/24 and was denied for number of recent inquiries according to phone rep. My Chex stats at time of app were: 1/1, 5/3, 8/6, 20/12, 29/24

    • The terms show "establish recurring direct deposit(s) with a combined total of $1,000 or more per month". Therefore, doing only 1 DD is a bad idea.

  • Applied OOS after having donated to Arizona whatever foundation in last 12 months

I got an account and member number and am able to log in to online banking but at the end of the application it said Unable to process this application.

I am still able to log in and it shows my account funding in checking via debit card. Not sure how to proceed.

  • 25/01/17 started application, but had to wait for verification because of zip code
25/01/18 called and they asked to send proof of $15 donation, then call back
25/01/18 approved with $200 CC fund

First tried USBBAC which failed. BofA premium rewards was successful.

I'll report back if I get the bonus with code 319BONUS

  • OOS applied after donating $15 to Local First Arizona, application went to Pend. Spoke to Customer Service to remove the pend as I already paid Membership fee.
Got Chex alert and then application got declined.

  • DP here:

I had some real DDs, but not enough to get $1000/month, so I supplemented it with Wise transactions (using Payroll as the reference ID). It's a very good option if you have the money but no other DD available.

If they closed your initial account and opened a different one for you (because they accidentally gave you the wrong type of account), CALL THEM and make sure you get the promo code applied to your new account!

I did that, and they confirmed that I did satisfy the $1000/month DD requirement for both months (even with the Wise payments), so as long as I have $500 in my account on the 60th day (which I will), I'll get the bonus within 15 days of then.
