The Fine Print
- $600 bonus offer is not available to existing Arizona Bank & Trust consumer checking customers or those who have been paid a new account opening bonus since January 1, 2018.
- Bonuses only apply when opening a new consumer Platinum Checking or Signature Series Checking account at Arizona Bank & Trust or ArizBank.com during the promotional bonus period.
- The promotional bonus period is 6/8/2021-8/31/2021.
- If the account is closed by the customer or bank within 90 business days after opening, we may deduct bonuses earned and received at closing and a $25 account closing fee may be assessed.
- Closing the account will negate any unearned bonuses.
- All bonus dollars will be paid to the newly opened checking account.
- If multiple checking accounts are opened during the promotional bonus period under the same primary owner name, the bonuses will be paid to the account that was opened first.
- Limit one bonus per new consumer account relationship.
- To receive a $200 bonus, four minimum direct deposits of $1000 or more must be posted to your new checking account within 120 calendar days of account opening.
- Direct Deposit examples include payroll, pension, Social Security or other government benefits.
- A $200 bonus will be paid if the account has at least a $20,000 balance 90 calendar days after account opening.
- If 90th calendar day falls on a weekend or holiday, balance on the following business day will be used to qualify for the promotion.
- A $200 bonus will be paid if the account has at least a $20,000 balance on 1/14/2022. Bonuses will be paid by April 14, 2022.
- An IRS 1099 form may be issued. Only Platinum Checking and Signature Series Checking accounts are eligible for this promotion.
- No other checking accounts are eligible for the promotion.
Avoiding Fees
- Platinum checking has a $12 monthly fee, this is waived with a $7,500 average daily balance
- Signature series has a $9 monthly fee, this is waived with a $50,000 Average Daily Balance or $100,000 in total relationship balance
Our Verdict
Previously bonus only required having $20,000 rather than $50,000. Account needs to have 50,000 on day 180 as well, so not worth doing. It doesn’t look like you actually need to hold the funds in the account for any period of time but not everybody has a liquid $50,000.

UMB Bank is buying out HTLF. @2

RIP my backdoor into this bank and churning the bonus.
@2 Looks like they pulled these offers
Anyone tried hitting up multiple divisions for bonuses? I completed the WI one recently but moved to California a short while back. Their terms don't say anything about exclusions for those have received bonuses from other divisions*
*There is some ungrammatical language that potentially could exclude it, but it seems more likely they just dropped a comma: "You are not eligible for this offer if: (1) You are a current Premier Valley Bank, a division of HTLF Bank[,] consumer checking account primary or joint owner or (2) You have received a bonus for opening Premier Valley Bank, a division of HTLF Bank[,] consumer checking account within the past 12 months.
(comma in brackets added)
My DPs:
May 5: Open w/ $500 cash deposit
May 8: $1,005 push from Fidelity
May 15: $1,005 push from Fidelity
May 16: $300 bonus posts
May 22: $1,005 push from Fidelity (forgot to turn off scheduled transfers)
May 26: Transferred $3,000+ out
Jun - Sep: Maintenance fee charged then waived upon request
Sep 29: $7,500 pushed from Fidelity
Nov 1: $300 (day 180 bonus)
Pretty painless. They even tell you how many fee waivers you have left each month.
Edit: this was with Wisconsin Bank & Trust
Anyone else having issues with this recently? I have done $7.5k deposits with Fidelity and Wise business with a memo of payroll. Neither worked. Not sure what else to try as my real DDs won’t cover $7.5k in time. This is for Citywide Bank.
Update, I finally got the bonus. Not sure what triggered it, but here are my DPs. Your guess is as good as mine.
Opened for Citywide Bank sometime in September, had issues opening. Opening deposit did not go through so after calling in a few times they just gave me my account number so I can send the $500 and then be able to see my account online. Very annoying.
10/5 $5k Wise with “payroll”, this was my first deposit so I can see my account online
10/10 $2.5k Fidelity
10/17 $5k Fidelity
10/19 $2.5k Wise with “payroll”
10/31 $12 service fee
11/1 $7.5k Fidelity CMA
11/9 $2k Chase real C corp ACH
11/13 $375 Fidelity
11/17 $1888 Chase real C corp ACH
11/17 $400 bonus.
If either wise or fidelity worked I should have gotten it much sooner. I did not even get close to the $7.5k with my Chase ACH payments. Something is acting weird here, but I am just glad it finally came through.
I did the Platinum offer, the second $300 of the bonus deposited a day after reaching the 180 day mark since account opening.
Same here. Super fast credit both times.
The offers are now $150 and $400.

$150 for Free Checking and only $200 for Signature Checking in MN.

P1&2 declines here in MN citing too many recent inquiries. We have a lot.
2 x DD from Alliant did not trigger the bonus but 2 x DD from Fidelity did and it was posted right after the 2nd DD. I was able to waive the $12 monthly fee for the 2nd month.
P1 and P2 got his randomly with a $3 fee a couple of days ago. This is Arizona Bank & Trust. We have the free with estatements accounts so I'm not sure what the fee is. We have estatements. Will follow back when I hear from the bank.
Bank replied today. They erroneously charged both P1 and P2 with the paper statement fee. They didn't offer to reimburse either of us though, so I have responded requesting them to reimburse us due to their error. Silly bank.
